Female Protagonist for DLC?

Having a female character as the protagonist of the storyline is something that's never been done before in the history of the Grand Theft Auto series. I was thinking it would be interesting to see something like this. Maybe it would even attract girls to start playing the series.

If there is a completely plausible reason for a character, male or female, to warrant having a DLC episode about them then I don't see why not. That said, if it were just Niko re-skinned with tits and a peachy arse and there was no logical reason to bring the game out other than the protagonist being a woman I probably wouldn't pick the game up.

 

Karen/Michelle could've worked in a DLC, though.

If RockStar were to introduce a female lead in a GTA game, then perhaps a DLC add-on to a main game like Lost & Damned would be the ideal way to experiment with it. It would keep those who DO want a female lead happy whilst trying out a new angle. If it worked then surely they would consider a female lead in future main games and if it didn't...well they would simply go back to the tried & tested formula they have done so many times before.

Allot of GTA players think that a female protagonsit would be a terrible idea just becuase of the idea of them playing as a wimpy female lead. However i would like to see them tell that too Griselda Blanco, she was more ruthless than any mobster in Miami at the time of the cocaine craze of the 80s.

I rearlly see no reson not too. I might have problem with it, if it had been for a whole game, but for just 20 Hours I have no issue with it.

Who Say's that the women lead would be fat and ugly? Rockstar can do what they want as at the end of the day GTA is fiction and not real so if they wanted to create a character with the looks but also the attitude then they could. I understand what people mean by why a female lead would be bad as personally i prefer a male lead as it is just natural and easier to do. But a female lead for a DLC would not be that bad considering that it would be somthing new and interesting and it would certainly sell as it is different. Also allot of the real life mobsters are fat and old anyway but they are never portrayed that way in Grand Theft Auto.

I never feel like playing as female protagonist in any game, that's why I didn't like Lara Croft. Woman and combat is a bad combination IMO, because they always seem to be cute, and man don't like woman having hurt, and they would in a game. Other than that I don't want to watch guys at a strip club instead of girls, and such. Maybe making her bi or lesbian would be a good touch.

So just, no. I like to impersonalite with my character too, and when being a male and playing as female it's just impossible.

 

The only exception is Fallout 3/ NV. I always play as girls because of the Type 3 bodies, but that's another story, lol...

No, never online. In on-line games, my character is my avatar. I'm not particularly comfortable with cross-dressing. In single-player games, especially ones where I don't identify with character anyways, sure, why not?

Yes. Women had important roles in IV and RDR, some were badass and held guns so why not? In SR2 it worked just fine.

But disregard all that, do you really think the general GTA fanbase wants to play as a woman? And what about the even larger amount of people who just buy games they think are good? When they see, "female protagonist" and "GTA", they will say "NO". Besides, as stated a bajillion times before, having a woman as a protagonist just can't be realistic.

 

Anyway, this topic will be shot down soon, as a very clear example as to why GTA SHOULDN'T have a female protag. Say what you want, but GTA is no place for a female protagonist.

Especially since a huge majority of the buyers are completely (and will stay) unrepresented.

thats a bit childish, suggesting the gender of a protaganist is dependent on how good it is to stare at their ass.

Yeah I could never understand why some guys do that it just seems kinda weird to me. Sure no average heterosexual guy wants to look at another mans ass for hours on end, but if that's the case why would you want your online character to be woman? I don't know maybe it's just me?

Auntie Poulet was Haitian. She was also extremely boring and not funny in the slightest bit at all. I think when he says "black" he's referring to African Americans.
