Barry Spock
Oh Hey. So last night I was playing races on PS3. It's been a bit quiet lately, probably because of Black Ops. Someone joined the next game with the PSN id; RockstarNorth2 and they beat out arses easily in one run around Thunder road at night in rain. They left after the one race. I thought it was pretty unlikely that someone could snag a PSN id like that, but I checked their trophies anyway -- had 100%, and GTA IV was the only game listed they had. I sent a friend request but it's as yet unanswered. Anyone else had random encounters with R* people? CryptReaperDorian
No random encounters, but I was in a R* event once. I say the R* guys I played with weren't great at the online modes, but it was still awesome to talk to them a bit. Anyways, I did add Mario D'Leon (voice actor of Luis Lopez) to my PSN friendlist, but he hasn't been on for six or seven months now. A J
they also use other PSN accounts Henning with Red Dead Redemption events , personally though it makes no difference to me, initially i thought oh cool lets play rockstar! but seeing them use AA and not actually being that great, put me off Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/463302-close-encounters/#findComment-1060208570 Share on other sites
HenningM92
We're on the subject of GTA now, so RDR IDs wouldnt be relevant The fact that they use AA bothers me as well. I wouldnt be surprised if their players were hired and never really played the game before Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/463302-close-encounters/#findComment-1060208582 Share on other sites
Madmonk420
Rockstar using AA!!!!! this is Unbelievably disappointing. No leading by example from the creators then.Id ashamed of myself if I worked on the game and did not have the minerals to play disallow. Then again maybe they are scared that they get torn apart at their own game. For god sake its like Mr Miyagi not being able to do the Krane kick!!!!!!!!.Deeply disturbing.. Im actualy angered by this outrage Everyones thinking it so ill just say it.....The shadow of a disallow v autoaim argument is lurking in the background here.......I`ll just be first to call like it is then........ ROCKSTAR U f*ckIN PUSSIES!!!!! PS if their drafting folk in to play the game....Im not busy LOL. Dream job Edited November 18, 2010 by Madmonk420 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/463302-close-encounters/#findComment-1060208602 Share on other sites
Barry Spock
Dorian, I guess Mario has better things to do, like boning hot women. Henning, yeah man, I saw a clip of GTARaces somewhere here where you won against R* people, driving a coquette around star jct. Very cool. Lawl -- autoaimers, eh? Maybe it's like how einstein wasn't co-ordinated enough to get a car license. Good at one thing, not so good at another. Booze
seeing them use AA and not actually being that great, put me off They're creators, not players. WE're the ones with too much time on our hands, actually only playing the game all day. We're SUPPOSED to be better. The only thing they would have an edge on is little tricks purposefully put into the game. However, by now it would be very unlikely that there is a trick we haven't yet found out about. On top of that, we know tons of tricks that were not purposefully put into the game (e.g. bugs and glitches). Maybe they do too, but would you use a fault in your own game to beat the people you're selling it to? Barry Spock
I came across 'RockstarNorth2' again tonight in Races. After thinking about it a bit more, I'm pretty sure it's just a R* fanboi. If the R* employees were going to play online they'd do the official thing - like what Henning mentioned, and use their official PSN usernames, or use normal sounding usernames at other times.
