Banshees have the weirdest space titties, like ever.

I'm still awaiting for them to announce the Omega DLC. It's pretty much confirmed if you had read the comics.

Rebellion DLC Announced.

So it finally official and it's looking pretty damn nice, looking forward to playing as the Vorcha and their Heavy Melee looks like it could be pretty cool, but that is just going from the screenshots. The Ex-Cerberus troops look interesting though, especially the Biotic powers they're gonna bring, could be some interesting new ways to play with those guys.

Glad it's gonna be free again too, at this rate all the DLC for ME3 will be free.

Meh, so Phoenix characters turned out to be Ex-Cerberus dudes? Well, guess they had ran out of races to play as. Vorcha was the last humanoid races that could come up with, don't expect us to be playing as a Hanar or an Elcor do they? And can't have Protheans, because they're Protheans.

Well, so glad I just go Gold again. And more glad that it's free again. A good reason to jump back into MP.

NEW IN-MISSION OBJECTIVE

■Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will demand that teams retrieve a high priority package and securely escort it to a designated extraction zone on each map.

We've actually encountered this objective, it's hidden in the code already. wink.gif

NEW GEAR SLOT

■A new slot will be available on the equipment screen, offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match. These new items will vary from weapon upgrades to character enhancements and will be available through reinforcement packs

I'm actually more excited about this. I've been waiting for ages for them to allow us to plug in at least one permanant effect to our loadout that we don't have to spend a consumable on everytime so I'm really looking forward to seeing what these are.

Reegar Carbine Shotgun – This electrical weapon improves upon the arc pistol’s design by generating a sustained current on its target. This weapon is named for the Quarian Reegar family, whose marines have served valiantly against the Geth.

Huh, guess this is do to with the fan reaction about the way they handle Reegar's death in ME3

It's nice that they're giving us all this stuff for free. But we need new enemies as well. MP shouldn't be strictly tied with single player. It limits the fun. They should add ME2 merc gangs as enemies. I want to fight the Blood Pack and Eclipse asari vanguards.

"Special Circumstance: Due to the failure of Operation SILENCER, more banshees will spawn with Reaper enemies and might also spawn with other enemies."

So ummm that'll be interesting. I may play a few rounds, would be interesting to be playing against the Geth and then suddenly that scream from hell coming on and it Biotic dashing past Primes and sh*t, actually saying that makes me wanna play it a little more now.

Thats basically what happened to me yesterday. They've appeared during my matches against the Geth and Cerberus. On the plus side, it does add a nice twist in things.

So I decided to load up my game and download the Rebellion pack, in case anybody fancies playing. Checked my accomplishments progress while I was on. All f*cking gone. Apparently this is a known issue?! I had about 1300 kills to go for the Veteran achievement, the one remaining achievement I hadn't done, and now it says 0/5000. There's one game I now won't be getting 100% on. What a c*nt.

I'd be up for some games now if you're still interested, though that is pretty sh*tty about the achievement progress, is it just that one or are there others?

No, all achievements that require accumulation are reset, but I have the rest already.

BioWare haven't even mentioned this anywhere, apart from on the forums. confused.gif

Well i wouldn't think you're the only person it's happened to so they've got to be aware of it in some capacity, you could rack up quite a lot of those kills playing the MP enough if you don't want to go through the Sp again and try it.

The new maps are sweet. Especially Firebase Goddess. It's a pretty challenging map which heavily relies on close quarter combat. Had 5 Pyros pinned my back against the world. Damn that was tough.

Have yet to try out the new characters though. Screw the Quarians, I want the Vorcha and Ex-Cerberus Characters. Played with a Phoenix Vangaurd today, that Lash power, I need it!

You may say that but the male Quarian Infiltrator is f*cking amazing, the arc grenade is damn useful, the Tactical scan debuffs any enemies scanned by it, so it becomes super easy to take down banshees/brutes/atlases/primes and well he has Tact Cloak too which I've always liked, plus i uses my Krysae Sniper Rifle X with him and it kinda f*cks sh*t up.

The Project Phoenix Cerberus people are fun as hell though too, it's a shame the powers the have are almost identical between Adept and Vanguard, minus one having Singularity and the other with charge, and i have the Vorcha Soldier as well. Him with Bloodlust on and using the Reegar Carbine with Incendiary ammo, well a lot of things just become too easy to kill, like an Atlas can die in seconds.

Also found out yesterday that Console people can get the M-90 Indra (It's Ultra Rare) for MP now, saw a guy with it yesterday and it's practically an assault rifle.

Apparently, there's another ME3 leak regarding the next multiplayer DLC and a little bit of info regarding the Extended Cut DLC.

Posted on Reddit by derpherp6698, he posted what looks like official descriptions for the upcoming DLCs.

Mass Effect™ 3: Earth

The fighting is fiercest when it's your home at stake! Mass Effect 3™: Earth adds mods, gear, and new maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London. It features 3 new weapons: Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol, and Typhoon light machine gun. Six new human N7 classes are also available: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury!

Mass Effect™ 3: Extended Cut

An expanded ending for Mass Effect 3. Additional scenes and an extended epilogue reveal the impact of Shepard's choices on the future of the galaxy.

As always with all leaks, take this with a pinch of salt. But take note that this is the same guy that leak out details about the Rebellion Pack, so the chances of this being true are pretty good.

If it's the same guy that we can pretty much confirmed it's true. Wise choice of adding maps set on Earth, should be pretty. But all new characters are humans? Damn, was hoping for a Turian Infiltrator. Also why do I get the feeling that this won't be free like the rest?

Been trying to get the Rebellion characters for the past few days now without any success. I'm pretty pissed wasting credits on stuff I don't need. I envy people with Vorcha and Phoenix characters. The Smash power looks so damn fun!

And did you guys heard that Mass Effect 3 is coming out for the WiiU?

BioWare officially makes its debut on the Wii U with Mass Effect 3!  We are excited for the opportunity to bring Commander Shepard to the new Nintendo Wii U console.  Mass Effect 3 will be coming as a launch title on the Wii U and is expected Holiday 2012.

Stay tuned for updates of Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U.

June 26th for the Extended Cut. Still pissed about my Veteran achievement, but I might get it anyway.

What save game should I load to play the Extended Cut?

•[spoilerS] To experience the Extended Cut, load a save game from before the attack on the Cerberus Base and play through to the end of the game. The Extended Cut endings will differ depending on choices made throughout the Mass Effect series, so multiple playthroughs with a variety of different decisions will be required to experience the variety of possibilities offered by the new content.

Guess I was right. It was either this, or import, and they went for the more annoying option.

This will mean I'll need to do more multiplayer to get my galactic readiness up too.

Last chance for Bioware. If they f*ck this up, I don't see how they'll be able to recover. Also, Casey Hudson is an asshole.

Well, It'll be interesting to see if the fan base will accept this.

The size of the dlc is over 3gb. That's a lot.

the shadow broker dlc was 2.1gb if I remember correctly.

After completing the game, you're brought back to that "location" anyway. So if you have a completed game save, you should be fine.

1.9GB? /whistles

A nice tactical decision from Bioware having us start from the Cerberus Base instead of a saved game in the Citadel, it will get the multiplayer numbers back up for a few weeks.

The Shadow Broker DLC was 1.5gbs and this EC DLC is 1.9gbs. It is not possible for DLC to be bigger than 2gbs. The reason for this is that there is a 2gb limit on XBL for DLC (games on demand uses a different system).

Now although the EC DLC is 1.9gbs don't expect much out of it. According to Hudson and several other Bioware staff it will add at most 10 minutes of cut scenes to your playthrough :-

@kalepost In a single play through, I'd say it adds ~10+ minutes, but there's quite a few iterations that require separate games to see

twitter source

The reason it is 1.9gbs is because they have to do several different videos for each "new" cutscene. Bioware has also confirmed that there is NO new gameplay

@SomeRandomGuy82 no additional combat in the EC DLC

Twitter source

should be a good laugh on youtube at least.

One other thing that should be posted in here is the fact they are finally fixing the "EMS issue". Those that only play single player were locked out of a crucial ending in ME 3 despite Biowares assurances this wouldn't happen. Anyway they will do something about it now :-

People have been asking about the EMS and how it changes in the Extended Cut DLC.

The original experience of the game was meant to reward players who did extra work (multiplayer, importing a save, playing the iOS games, etc) with greater levels of success in the end, which is appropriate to a story about a war that needs every possible advantage in order to win.  But now that we are moving to a post-launch period and have additional content for the endings, we wanted to make it easier for all players to experience even the best-cast endings.  Playing multiplayer is just one component is a sea of variables that can affect your ending.  If you don't play MP, you have to find other ways raise to raise your EMS before attempting to retake Earth, including a comprehensive single player play through.  Likewise if you suffered some blows to your EMS prior to assaulting Earth, MP is a great way to raise your score high enough for the final assault.

Keep in mind that the results of having a very low EMS rating can have distinct effects on the outcome of the game in teh same way having a high EMS can.

source

Before anyone goes "oh but this was the case anyway", it wasn't. It has been confirmed that the maximum number of war assets you can get in the game is 3600 (including doing a perfect playthrough of all 3 games). This falls short of the 4000 you need to get one of the endings.
