Eh? I'm playing as an Infiltrator and NOT on New Game+ and Insanity is still piss easy. Freakin Tactical Cloak yo, makes all the difference in battle. Just thank f*cking god Bioware didn't give Husks armor. That was such a pain in the ass in ME2's Insanity.

 

@Dragonjack: Don't think they would be a GoTY edition. But don't get this game unless you've played the previous two. Are you familiar with the save file transfer thingy?

Mass Effect Rebellion MP DLC Rumor/Leak

 

 

The “Rebellion” Multiplayer Expansion opens two new fronts against the Reapers: Firebase Jade’s jungle reservoir and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. In-game reinforcement packs now include three new weapons as well as equipment, consumables, and six new classes: Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Phoenix Adept and Vanguard.

 

- Included are two new maps: “Firebase Jade’s” jungle reservoir & Firebase Goddess on Thessia

- In-game reinforcements have three new weapons along with equipments/consumables

- And the biggest surprise, 4 new classes: Vorcha Soldier & Sentinel, and Phoenix Adept & Vanguard

Honestly not sure, the only thing named "Phoenix" in any of the games is one of the solar systems. Prothean seems as good a guess as any. If this proves to be true, I totally called the Vorcha being included in one of the next available classes.

You would be able to pick and choose your own custom power set like in the main campaign. Which would give you a ton of cool combinations to try out between all the classes. Basically like CoD where you plug in the 3 perks you want.

That would require too much planning to get it right and not completely unbalanced. It's not something you see very often in tacked on multiplayer modes. The very same reason you don't see a decent unlock system in tacked on multiplayer. The same reason why you can't trade your randomly generated unlocks with other players to actually get something you want.

Well the reason why we have the current system in ME3 MP, is so people have a reason to spend money on getting the packs. It's a money making scheme.

@GTAvanja: I actually think it'd be pretty doable being that all the powers are all ready coded into the MP and the main game itself allows you to completely reset and plug in the powers you wish. They've even added in playable powers and characters that weren't in the main game at this point so it's feeling a bit less "tacked on" and a bit more forward.

Really hope it's not Protheans. Just doesn't make sense in a canonical sense. Either way, I'm glad they're periodically dropping these packs, I just hope they continue to be free like Resurgence was. That would be a great way to prolong the life of the mp scene without resorting to cheap xp weekends and stuff.

Interesting. It shoot up from 50% back to 95% again. This game is trolling me.

 

Vorcha characters? Hell to the yeah! Like others, curious to know what the Phoenix characters are. Who knows, may be some other type of new race Bioware are introducing to us.

 

Then again, it may be fake so don't get your hopes up.

hey guys! has anyone else suffered game freezing problems with ME multiplayer ??

The last 2 days now, as soon as the first wave begins i notice my teammates dont move. the enemies dont take any damage and just walk into walls. i can still move around the map though. eventually i leave the game, only out of choice though, im not disconnected or anything.

I have tried the mp about 5 times now, with exactly the same results. Im checking mass effect forums, finding problems only from a while back.

Forget lore though. This is MP. Believe me, there's a lot of things that goes against lore in MP as it is:

 

what if the geth/quarian conflict wasn't resolve, what if batarians all died, etc .etc.

Yea MP is meant to be a bit loosey goosey so that they can have fun with it. I certainly won't nitpick if suddenly I'm given a Prothean Soldier class with the ability to throw Dark Channel or whatever it just adds options which is always a good thing in regards to MP.

 

@kaiser: I've had that happen on occasion but never permanantly or repeatedly in one spot. I did have a friend the other day who could not connect to our lobby no matter how many times we invited him. He'd join and drop immediately. Not sure if that has something to do with the recent patch or what.

i have since tried the multiplayer on another account, on the same ps3 and with the same internet source and it works fine! which is really strange. I have spent £15 on packs which i dont want to go to waste. not to mention my level progress.

This game f*cks with your account somehow. When I load up the game with my main (Xox Live) account, the game freezes after the Bioware logo and the shot of a burning earth (right before the "start"-screen). I made a second account and no problems at all. So the only way for me to play multiplayer now is to pay for Xbox Live twice (unless I cancel it on my main account, but my subscription on that one won't run out until July) and on top of that comes all the DLC and online pass that I already bought for my main account. The only way for me to play single player now is with a completely clean slate (no character import from ME 3/2/1 unless I play through them again). Thanks, EA/Bioware/whoever's responsible.

 

So yeah, you're lucky you're on PS3 (at least you won't have to pay to be able to play online). Don't spend your money on equipment packs though, it's a money-making scheme. Just play with classes that don't rely heavily on gear first (adept & vanguard). By the time you're done with them, you should've collected some pretty good equipment.

Alright, so I haven't exactly been the happy, sunny person I usually am (), especially during my last post, but don't get me wrong, if I didn't think the Mass Effect franchise was so good, I wouldn't have given two sh*ts.

 

Even though I haven't really seen anyone here with the same problem I had (black frozen screen after starting up the game), I would like to share this fix I just found, just in case anyone comes across this game-denying glitch.

 

To clarify, I'm talking about this particular problem (which has only affected people on Xbox 360 so far):

Turns out, some dude(/hero) made a fix for this.

Of course, anything that requires downloading some unknown software (let alone tinkering with your Xbox Live profile with it) is quite a risk and should be generally avoided. However, I was so desperate that I decided to give it a try (positive reports on the BioWare forum also made me a bit more confident). Well, it worked! Supposedly you lose all progress towards achievements, but you don't lose already earned achievements. You also lose unlocked bonus powers, but those are small sacrifices to make in order to being able to play the game again. You don't lose any savegames, dlc or the online pass. Of course, I had already deleted all that while trying to fix the problem on my own, but if you still have it... Leave it alone

 

It's still not known what triggers this problem in the first place (I know I had recently cleared my cache, but I don't know if that had anything to do with it) and BioWare are still trying to come up with an official fix for this (or at least that's what they'll have us believe). Anyway, I hope people who suffer from this will see this and if they try it, that it may work for them like it did for me.
