Mass Effect 3

or that you've got max exp in 2 (in me2) ?

That, is what I'm saying. In Mass Effect 2, made by BioWare, I have reached the maximum level, attained by acquiring experience points, of which I've earned enough, to reach the maximum level, in Mass Effect 2, made by Bioware. That, is what I'm saying.

THen my question is, why the hell are you talking about mass effect 2 when I've clearly been talking about mass effect 1?

I love Mass Effect 1 and the Mako. In fact, I find Mass Effect 1 atmosphere more compelling that the one in Mass Effect 2. The world feels bigger. I love everything about it. And I don't mind the gameplay.

I don't mind the Mako. Driving it in Virmire or Feros was cool. But the other planets' terrain was f*cking awful to drive on. Sure it made the world look bigger, but still I find it hard to believe there isn't a solid piece of flat land in any planet.

Went back to my 9th Sheperd in ME1 yesterday. Been a few months since I touched her. Funny, I forgot whether I was supposed to do a Renegade or Paragon playthrough now that I had glitched the hell outta Noveria.

btw you get more experience if you take the thresher maw on foot.

wow.gif I'ma have to try that when I replay ME1 again before ME3.

It feels so naughty fighting it with the Mako, then jumping out to finish it off.

Just watched Requiem For A Dream a few weeks ago, you know the movie with the brilliant soundtrack that Clint Mansell did.

I have mentioned this before and I'll say it again. I'm really looking forward to the music of the game. Here's some songs that Clint did to just get you familiarize with Clint's work.

Revenge for dying when you've not made a save. Is there anything more annoying than having six encounters then dying on the last one then landing on the goddamn planet again?

I hope they mix in some of the music from the first game - it make's it feel like an 80's vision of the future.

A few of you might have read me mentioning my ex-gf shep - well here they are

what. the. f*ck? You've got to be kidding me! EA server connection problems, here we come.

Well, BF3 and ME3 were some of my absolute must-haves, but they're already disappointing before release.

f*ck you, EA.

Multiplayer?

During mass effect 1 I never thought about wanting to play this multiplayer style, neither did that come in my mind when I've been playing mass effect 2.

I really don't see how multiplayer can be any good for a game such as mass effect. It just doesn't suit the game at all.

Lol KoM, it's a shooter - 90% of online games are shooters. It's also not too far from gears of war in gameplay terms of gameplay and MP is a massive part of that.

If it's done well then it can add to ME3.

damn, I told my sister this and she started going all angry video game nerd on me. For the last two hours, she was yelling obsenities at bioware. I had to stop her from breaking the previous two mass effect discs and the knights of the old republic games. and I thought I took gaming seriously.....

Yeah true, but when you've played it eleventeen times like me you realise there's a lorra lorra shootin in it.

The controls, powers and weps would make a good mp - co-op or vs.

You people make it sound like the multiplayer is the end of the world, literally. tounge.gif

I on the other hand can't wait, just finished ME 2 again a while back, and just finished the 1st one again, in the process of repeating the second one... again, with a different class and actually save the council this time, I wish I hadn't though... calling sovereign a geth creation, jesus.

Used more renegade conversations than usual, damn some of them are awesome.

Bagsy in the Mako.

If they're doing multiplayer, it better have tanks!

I don't mind the idea of a multiplayer. They're going to pull off the singleplayer as well as they have this far, I'm sure, so who cares if EA throes them a little extra money to tack on a multiplayer mode?

Besides, it might mean some sort of a Cerberus card type deal too.

The problem is that EA is turning Bioware into another sh*tty money milking developer. You can bet they're gonna run them to the ground and bury them once they're done. Bioware used to be so awesome. Selling out to EA was the worse decision of their lives.

The most worrying thing is that the multiplayer "pass" thing is listed on the collector's edition as if it's something you don't get in the normal edition. I'm not a fan of the idea of ME multiplayer, but I sure as hell want to play it without shelling out for EAs project ten-bux just to play multiplayer on a game I've bought first hand. It's likely listed as a "feature" on the standard edition too mind, but it just irks me that not having to pay (again) to go online is now a thing to be touted.

Also, a proper FPS/TPS done in the ME universe would be badass as f*ck.

I wouldn't worry about the pass being "exclusive" to the Collectors Edition. It doesn't make sense to exclude people that purchase the normal version from MP (not that MP in a single player RPG franchise makes a hell of a lot of sense to begin with). If memory serves when the Cerberus network was announced it was done in such away that is "appeared" to be exclusive to the Collectors Edition and we know that wasn't the case.

As for MP as a whole well I can't say I am not very disappointed. However from what I have seen of ME 3 so far it's been a case of "go away long time fan we are not interested in you, we want the COD gamers". You just have to listen to the way they totally invalidate ME 1 and ME 2 by saying you don't even need to play them and how Mass Effect 3 is the best place to start the trilogy (erm yeah right).

The marketing and promotion of ME 3 is so f*cking awful right now that I have actually stopped following the game. I am not at the point of giving up my pre-order just yet but with the likelihood of no steam release, f*ck awful Origin client, multiplayer and some of the disturbing talk about not needing to play the other 2 games well I am really finding it very difficult to be enthusiastic about ME 3 at all.

That's all EA's fault. They suck at marketing. They always alienate loyal fans. I wish I could kill a few EA guys that are on the board of directors.

Would you publicly say that your boss is making you do things you don't want to be doing? Would you admit that your boss is molesting you? Probably not. I'm not being cynical, I'm just being realistic.

You also probably wouldn't go out of your way in the other direction too, though. Blurting out that your boss isn't molesting you, because you know he/she actually is.

They read pretty convincingly in the actual interview.

As far as I know they're just saying what EA told them to say. At least that's what I want to believe. Because if that's not true, then the truth is even uglier. Bioware is turning into morons. First Dragon Age 2 now Mass Effect multiplayer and all that talk how you don't need to have played previous games to get into this one.

Okay now that multiplayer is somewhat confirmed, something occurred to me. There is a possibility that ME3 might suck.

Something in me tells me that there would be fewer dialogue scenes than the previous games. I'm sure you can talky-talky with your Squad on the Normandy but what else? Seems like EA wants the franchise to turn into a permanent shooter. The previews we've seen so far is all shoot-shoot and the dialogue scenes they show us only had like two options of dialogue. No more 'Investigate'.

I could be wrong though. Paps, since you're the ONLY person here to have played it so far, experienced any dialogue scenes during your time at the expo?
