Mass Effect 3

Absolute carnage on my first playthru - only a handful survived. Then I've got one where Garrus and Miri died, and one where just Tali died ( that was the last thing about squad survival that I learned - leave some strong characters to defend the last level) The last couple of SMs I've done, I've used Jack and Thane mostly, buffed up at the SB terminals wiht squad warp ammo and area throw

Gonna do my Adept which I haven't done yet - might have another go with the ex-gf-shep

With all these multiple ways to end ME2, do you guys really think that the previous squadmates would play a big part at all? We already know that Mordin's original voice actor is not returning and maybe it's because he has only a small part to play. Which is a shame.

Hey, I can chime in!

Casey Hudson (big boss) said all the squadmates will be returning in 3, playing some part, whether big or small. Some will be joining you in action temporarily, some will be returning to your squad full-time, and some will just be around to chit-chat with. It's all about closure.

I'm just bummed, personally, that because I don't have Live, I missed out on so much DLC and additional story that won't be affecting 3 for me. Never got to see the Shadow Broker...

Bit late to the party huh? We kinda already knew that tounge.gif

And high-five! I thought I was the only one who is an Xbox Liveless person and didn't had the DLCs here! DLCs are a bitch aren't they? Here's hoping we can at least get a chance to choose the DLC choices in the ME3 intro. I'm already bummed out that I don't have Kasumi and Zaaed.

Ya man, reading their names over and over in my online searching has saddened me. Oh well.

I'm pretty sure Bioware will release some kind of Ultimate Mass Effect collection once they're done with the trilogy. So you'll get a chance to play everything, I'm sure.

Ya know what I would definitely love to see? Mass Effect 1 remastered with the ME2/3 gameplay mechanics and all that. I just can't be arsed to go through another ME1 playthrough with all that tedious work that needs to be done. I'm supposed to have a 10th Sheperd by now but her playthrough is still unfinished because I can't be bothered with that game anymore.

Where's good ol' Charlie when you need him? Haven't seen any ME3 news lately!

Does anyone else think that we might will have to kill Miranda and Jacob in ME3?

I think depending on what players did in ME2 will decide if Miranda and Jacob will stay with Shepard or side with Cerberus.

How about them being not loyal in ME2 making them your enemies in ME3?

I will gladly kill Jacob with pleasure. Actually, I would be even more glad he if doesn't turns up at all. He belongs in a grave, not the Alliance nor Cerberus.

As for Miri, f*ck no. She's one of my favorite characters and my number uno love interest. She has her own office in the Normandy and she said to Illusive Man this, 'Consider this my resignation letter" or something alone those lines in the Suicide Mission. So I doubt she will still be siding with the Illusive Man in ME3. Plus, doesn't she still has the pregnancy issue thingy still going on? I have never played the DLCs so I don't know.

Hey Jacob's OK. I like his quest

"People...people need to take us to the sky!"

Fookin' ell they've only been there 5 minutes!

If they're not loyal in ME2 they'll most likely not survive the suicide mission.

I don't think they'll be with Cerberus any more if they survived, so you won't have to kill them.

Was Arrival any good? I can't bring myself to purchase it because it probably won't live up to Lair of the Shadow Broker which was pretty kicking rad.

It was pretty good. And it is supposed to tie into the beginning of Mass Effect 3.

There hasn't really been any news with regards to ME 3 of late. Apart from demoing the Sur'kesh level at one or two minor conventions that is about all they have shown. There is a new Mass Effect comic which is set after the events of Arrival and before the start of ME 3. It introduces James Vega and gives a little bit more insight into him. The comic is free to read but just to be on the safe side I won't paste links to the pages in here. Instead if you want to read the comic you could do worse than go here :-

http://masseffectclub.deviantart.com/blog/44195579/

It is only 8 pages long but it has a decent ending. I still find I despise James Vega though and just hope he is good at polishing boots, because that will be his primary role in my ME 3 play through.

Even at the convention it was only 1 tiny screen with a mass Que in the back-end of nowhere, but i watched it for a couple of mins cant bloody wait it looks so sweet and refined the environment close and in the distance looked stunning! The demo seemed very smooth could be best optimized one yet!

Huh. Nice ending but doesn't really tell us about James. He looks and acts like Randy Orton.

Oh and I think we got a glimpse of a new race in this page.

My Seventh Sheperd on the other hand, is a FemShep whose whole crew is dead and only Garrus, Miranda, Samara and Mordin survived. My last Shepard has the whole crew survived but only Tali and Garrus remaining. I can never killed off Garrus.

So... the whole crew is not deaD?

By crew I meant the Normandy crew. Chakwas, Kelly, etc. Had a dream that Kelly would appear in a very sexy outfit in 3.

So yeah, to clear this up.

7th Sheperd: Normandy Crew dead. Garrus, Miri, Samara and Mordin survived.

8th Sheperd: Normandy Crew saved. Tali and Garrus survived.

Easy mistake to make between "crew" and "squad" I have a save where I did some last minute shopping for upgrades and Dr Chakwas survived, but Kelly died.

I've only done arrival once so I'll go thru it with all my sheps to familiarise myself with all the outcomes.

I'm considering starting a new playthrough from me1 to me2 with a female shepard, just so I have a female shepard in me3. But I'm not really sure if its worth it.

mrpain: ah of course, silly me.

Ya, 2 is much easier to play through again compared to 1. No f*cking way can I bring myself to do all that Mako driving; side quests on top of it.

I actually don't find the mako that hard to controll, so I am not that botherd with the mako side quest. anyway, there are so many different ways to play through me1 and 2, who to kill, maybe make an me1 where you only have ashley and kaiden on your team, to hit the reporter or not to hit the reporter.

and being different classes is apperently suppose to give you a different gaming experience.

I'll probably try and play as a female after the one I'm doing now.

soldier renegade, letting ashley survive, killing anything that can be killed.

on a side note, I went to the mass effect forum on the bioware site, I wanted to slit my wrist and pour acid down my eye socket.

I was referring to all the driving I had to do to mine all the minerals on each planet, check out the anomalies, fight thresher maws, dig up medallions.... I spent so much time driving. No mas.

As I said, I didn't mind that.

btw you get more experience if you take the tresher maw on foot.

F that, I've reached the max level on 2, so there's no regrets from what I did in the first one, experience-wise.

Ya, I'm just saying what I did for experience, how much experience I got, what level I finished the first game with, doesn't matter, since I've reached the max level....in 2.

yes, you reached the max exp in 2. (that is what you just wrote)

are you saying you've got max exp with 2 shepards?

or that you've got max exp in 2 (in me2) ?

That, is what I'm saying. In Mass Effect 2, made by BioWare, I have reached the maximum level, attained by acquiring experience points, of which I've earned enough, to reach the maximum level, in Mass Effect 2, made by Bioware. That, is what I'm saying.
