Not the most exciting of collectors editions, would have been awesome if they threw in a statue thing similar to what Epic are doing with Gears.

The Kinect features include the ability to read out loud the available responses on screen (erm ok). The other Kinect ability means you can issue voice commands, so if you say "Garrus move to cover" Garrus moves to cover. I dunno I will stick with selecting the response with the mouse and using Q and E to tell my team mates where to go.

I've watched the trailer and it looks pretty impressive, the only complaint I have is the f*ck awful music. I don't know what they were thinking having that electronic guitar rock crap blaring away, it really doesn't fit the video.

 

There is also now an official release date which is the 6th March 2012 so we have a fair few days to wait yet (274 days to be precise).

Well that E3 trailer was boss as f*ck, and i'm really looking forward to get the Collectors Edition.

Well the EA E3 ME 3 (enough acronyms for ya ?) is over and basically "blink and you would've f*cking missed it. They gave ME 3 just 5 mins of coverage but spent nearly 10 minutes showing off the next sh*t need for speed game.

 

The demo was basically centred around Shepard destroying a Reaper base and then getting chased by Reapers and Cerberus. At the end Legion picks you up in some sorta hover ship and the Reaper chases after you whilst you blast it with a turrent gun. As soon as I find video I will put it up on here.

 

They also used the opportunity to push EA's new Orign DD platform for the PC. It seems that the Digital Deluxe Edition of ME 3 (PC) will be exclusive to EA's new Origin DD system. The DDE version will include :-

• N7 arsenal pack – N7 Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol and SMG
• Squad-mate alternate appearance pack
• Normandy mechdog companion
• Shepard casual appearance– N7 hoodie
• Exclusive extended soundtrack
• Exclusive 4x6 lithograph
• Day 1 DLC – the Prothean (Adventure/Character) - huge spoiler believe me.
• XBL Normandy Avatar
• Exclusive forum, social avatars, badges and perks

Oh and it is a mere snip at £54 f*cking quid. They have put up an "exclusive" CGI trailer of ME 3 on the Origin site you can find it here :-

Just click on the Mass Effect 3 Video icon, no huge spoilers it just shows Earth under attack. There is still 2 more demos to come apparently in about 20 mins.

Mass Effect 2 looks like an add-on to ME1. And now ME3 - as a second addon to ME1.

Anywho, story-wise this got me pretty excited. I am now baffled whether I should pre-order that for the prothean DLC. I wonder what that is all about. I'm pretty sure I can take a rough guess and not miss by far though.

Yeah I wasn't disappointed with what I saw, I just found it a bit odd that they dedicated such a small amount of time to Mass Effect 3.

 

As for the DLC it is just being given away free if you order the Collectors Edition or the DDE version. You will still get an opportunity to purchase that DLC after the game comes out (this is EA after all).

OOOOHHH MY GOD this bit just blew me the f*ck away, but it is tricky to get too. Firstly go here :-

That is the entire E3 live feed but don't panic you don't have to watch it all. Now skip to 5hrs 4mins 50secs into the feed and watch the second part of the play through it will rock your world . The play through is set on Earth at the beginning of the game and you get a nice surprise at the end. I know people are trying to avoid spoilers but seriously this bit is really really really worth watching.

Man I was pumped for this before, then I stumbled upon GTTV's live E3 thing on spike, and the game play, blew me away, it literally was speechless.

 

That sequence where Sheppard manning the turret as legion drive this well some sort of vehicle away from a pursuing reaper was amazing.

 

Got me so pumped I started playing ME2 even more now. God I can't wait for next year now.

Ah I really should stop watching these vids, I think I have watched the Earth level about 20 times (seriously that level is f*cking awesome if you avoid it because you don't want to be spoiled then you really are cheating yourself). Anyway there is a new video interview of Casey Hudson, he talks about the game generally and there are no spoilers until 4:40. So feel free to watch it up to that point :-

There is also going to be a live demo on EA.com on the 8th at 2pm PDT this is going to be 2.5 hours long. So still plenty to see yet.

 

Finally there are RUMOURS that ME 3 will have multiplayer :-

 

 

However, our secret source today confirmed during wee hours of the first day of E3 that the action-RPG is all set to have a full-fledged multiplayer campaign, which will be unveiled near the end of the year.

 

Additionally, our source also detailed some parts of the multiplayer campaign. Here’s what we’ve been told:

 

 

 

The game will feature a Horde style multiplayer mode with “crap loads” of maps.

 

 

It will also have the regular modes such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.

 

 

The Horde mode will have objectives like Capture The Flag, King of the Hill, and simple shoot-to-kill ‘waves’ as well.

 

 

Up to four players can play cooperatively in the Horde mode.

 

 

Maps are “fairly small” but well designed.

 

 

Players can choose from 6 different classes, or use a prebuilt one’s. Our source didn’t confirm what those classes were, but we reckon all those from ME2 will be present.

 

 

There will be a level cap of 60.

 

 

Some of the enemies were confirmed as well: Geth, Marauders, Husks, and a new enemy type called Brutes. The source described them as insanely “huge ass”.

 

 

The game will also feature a ‘multiplayer store’. The store will carry upgrades for weapons, etc. and other items.

 

 

Players will be able to buy said upgrades and items by earning in-game money based on their performance in the multiplayer. Our source wasn’t sure if the in-game money can be earned via the single player campaign as well, “but I doubt it. Seems like the (singleplayer and multiplayer) modes will be separate.”

 

 

The multiplayer is still in its early stages and “needs a lot of work.”

I will wait until there is actually confirmation or proof of this. I know my own view is that any mp in Mass Effect 3 will be disappointing but best to wait and see.
