Anyways, I'm having a problem with a certain mission -- the one where you meet a certain politician's assistant out on his boat before going on the speedy boat chase shooting all of the bad guys. I'm having no problem shooting these guys. I clear the exploding ramp, Salvatore is fine, right? But then a boat comes out of nowhere, shoots behind me, I destroy it, then Salvatore dies and I'm like, WTF?! I simply can't get to the point where the helicopter shows up. Can someone explain to me why the f*ck Salvatore is f*cking standing when there are bullets and explosions going off all around him? I mean, that's just really f*cking stupid.

Is this mission is part of Staunton's missions?

If yes, I have passed it before (PS2 version, I have no PSPs).

That's GTAIIIs... Only VC and SA had something called crouching. I assume that if you can't crouch in that game, no one will be able to crouch...

So, that's my way of looking to Salvatore not crouching, even though there are bullets and explosions around. Try exploding the boat when it's far from yours.

Anyways, I just completed it and this time Salvatore was sitting down.

Actually people can crouch in the game but the player cant But police men can. And in certain missions people are crouching and in some cutscenes Toni himself crouches(like in the mission "calm before the storm" when you get to the checkpoint Toni crouches behind a few barrells). Oh and just to let you know, The reason salvatore was standing rather then sitting down might have been because

you had the follow me cheat on. If you have it on salvatore will act like a ped and stand up and face you like peds do when you have that cheat on, exposing him to gunfire or causing him to fall in water and drown.

I'm not sure, why the police and even Toni himself in only cutscenes are crouching and you cannot make him crouch?

That was lame. If they used ALL the buttons on the PSP, they would had made a button combo to make him crouch (like pressing both shoulder buttons at the same time to crouch, the only problem is when Toni couldn't move when crouching like in VC, much time consuming because you have to press two at the same time and not one near your moving thumbs), and on PS2, they missed to net the L3 button a purpose other than the aiming combo (R1+L3) and being the button to activate vehicle side-missions, which is to crouch using L3 on foot. And yes, I'm also talking about VCS.

 

Anyways, I've done that mission in my first try (and I have not saved without cheats before), so I don't know what's the matter.
