please i wanna install those paintjobs for Elegy!

Recommended Posts

It's possible to install the Elegy skins using just Txd Workshop and here's how:

- Once the prg is running, click on the 'Open IMG' button at the top of the left pane.

- Find the 'models' sub-folder wherever you have GTA-SA installed and open the 'gta3.img' file.

- Below the file list that appears is a blank search box, enter 'elegy1'.

- When it finds the elegy1.txd entry, click on it and the skin texture will show up in the other two panels (the list and graphic).

- Click on the 'Import' button above the texture list. Find and open the graphic you want to use for the Elegy's first skin.

- The prg will then load and convert it to the proper format. When that's done, click on the 'Save TXD' button and it will be saved into the .img file.

- The other two skins will be below the elegy1.txd entry in the file list so you can just scroll down the list a bit and repeat the process for them.

*NOTE* You can have up to 4 skins per vehicle, so if you want to have 4 for the Elegy (or any other) you'll have add the 4th yourself. Do this by exporting an existing skin using Txd Workshop and renaming it to 'elegy4.txd'. Then re-open gta3.img (if you need to), right-click on the file list and select 'Add'. Load the elegy4.txd file and then replace the graphic the same way I just described above.

If you have any problems with the .img file or just want to play it safe, use ImgTool to rebuild the archive afterward.

Enjoy!
