M. H. Hunter III

I was lucky enough to keep onto my SNES gear from years ago and more importantly 'Harvest Moon,' which also goes for a decent sum online now last time I checked it out.

My buddy also has that version of MM, so while less common than the gray one must be common enough.

I had a Playstation 2 blue disc port of Marvel vs Capcom 2, I ended up selling it long before the 360 live arcade version was announced, it fetched a pretty penny for me.

Also had the "version 1" of San Andreas for PS2 (but a lot of people did) and the same for Vice City before they took out the dialog about killing the Haitians and Cubans.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was first ported to the Dreamcast in 2000, and later to the PlayStation 2 in 2002 and the Xbox in 2003. The PlayStation 2 and Xbox ports of this game saw a limited print run due to Capcom losing the Marvel license. While these versions are merely uncommon, high demand has caused their prices to skyrocket both in stores and online.

I have a gold copy of Majoras Mask and Ocarina of Time.

I didnt think they were that rare? A few friends had them when they first came out.

They are all gold. Only some had lenticular (holographic) stickers though...

I have a wireless Atari Controller, and the 4 player port for my NES. I also own a top loader NES, Sega CD, and an original PS2 simpson skin, stand, and 6 player add on port.

My sister however, still owns and plays on her Pokemon N64, which I hear is somewhat rare.

I've got a few things that can be considered 'rare'

Magnavox Odyssey

RCA Studio II

Fairchild Channel F(first model)

Black Sega Sports Dreamcast

Famicom(Japanese NES)

various other consoles(I got 34 to choose from)

I got a boxed set of wireless Atari controllers

and other stuff that might be rare, I don't know.

Theres a difference between rare games and hard to find "popular" games. An example would be my copy of Halloween for the atari 2600 vs. my copy of Final Fantasy VII for ps1. No one these days could care less to really own a copy of halloween for atari unless you're a hard core collector, because it is a rare game. You wont just find this anywhere. Now as far as Final fantasy VII...it's not rare. There's tons of black labeled and green labeled copies out there as well as PC copies. Since the game is so popular, it ends up getting bought off as soon as it's shelfed. That's how a game like that gets a higher pricy tag.

My collection of hard to find or rare games consist of;

Halloween for the atari 2600

Final Fantasy VII for PC

Super Mario RPG for the snes

Pong 1977 atari family console

Mega-man X3 for the snes

I might have more, but that's what i have that's notable.

The gold copy of Zelda OoT isn't rare by any means, but it is hard to find without ebay.

Contradicting much? lol

I'll look through my collection. icon14.gif

In all fairness most old games are hard to find without Ebay.

I have Echelon for PC. Now THAT's a game you won't see often.

It's actually quite good, too.

Well, millions of copies must have been made, so it isn't rare, it just isn't stocked at stores anymore since its a very old game.

Anyway, I assume this will become rare in a while. It was released in limited quantities, and its out of print, as far as I know. It's also f*cking lovely.

A quick look through Amazon.com reveals that it's priced at 80 bucks new, and 70 bucks used (lowest prices). Rightfully so, too. It's a DAMN good collection.

I've got a chinese-made floppy disk drive for the Sega Genesis, used for ripping and playing game backups. It's an exciting piece of technology.

I've also got a working intellivision with about 50 games. Not exactly rare, but it's certainly old.

My babies.

All I have is Legend of Zelda Orcarina of Time for the n64 sad.gif but I digress the feeling towards it, to me it truly is "the perfect game" and is my most valuable video game collectible.

Has anyone got resident evil directors cut i do i was going to buy it online a few years back when i decided to try the preowned section at game and as luck would have it they happened to have a copy of the directors cut so i took it before someone else could, i spent years looking for the directors cut.

That DVD that came out before or after Tomb Raider the Angel of Darkness came out it has the soundtrack on it and the AOD companion.

I have a boat load of Intellivision games all in their original packages with instructions and overlays. I only say that because my collection includes the rare Dungeon and Dragons game.

I also have an original Juno First arcade cabinet. For some reason it is a rare, sought after cabinet.

I proudly display on my desk at work the "Greetings from Vice City" post card that R* sent out during the days leading up to VC.

I guess the rarest thing I have is (or was) the Legend of Zelda OoT and the master quest for GameCube. It was given out as a pre-order bonus for Wind Waker (THE best pre-order bonus of all time, I might add). Sadly I didn't get a GameCube until April 2003, a few months after Wind Waker's release. I only ever saw it being sold in a game store once, probably a mistake because I don't think these were meant to be sold. I took advantage and bought it as fast as I could. The clerk said something like, "I didn't know this was even being sold." As in, he would have taken it for himself if he knew. At the time (2004) it was rare, but after the release on the Wii virtual console, you can find it pretty easy. I still enjoy playing it on my GC controller.
