What "connects" to San Andreas?

So I was hanging out at the Bayside Marina, north of San Fierro (my favorite city in San Andreas), and when I was near the boating school I turned the camera and looked at the "mountain" in front of me. It reminded me of Liberty City's Shoreside Vale; just a really calm and beautiful little place to hang out.

Anyways, I was just wondering what do you guys think is connected to San Andreas? I was checking out the ship south-east of the Bayside Marina (not the one in San Fierro as that's different, lol) and saw a world map laying on a table that was virtually identical to, you know, the real world. I don't know, the geography is just... odd, lol.

What's so odd about a world map in ships bridge?Simple: it's useless there should be the local Navagation Charts. Also the Radar doesn't show the coast of where the ship is. (There is a map in the other ship too).

But... it's only a game...

Have you ever wondered... Claude & Catalina gave CJ the Deed for the Garage "... because we need the car to [go] to Liberty City..."

I remember reading a post where someone thought the U.S. in GTA looked different given what we know of San Andreas, Liberty City, and Vice City. Of course, the world map probably doesn't mean anything. It's just there to remind the player that San Andreas isn't really an island, but due to hardware limitations and development time, that's what it ended up being.
