Here goes, my rushed list. In no particular order:

 

Zoo Tycoon 2

 

The original game without mods is childish and sh*t, but if you add many of the free user-made downloads, you can create some really good, realistic designs. The only downside is the community is full of 10-12 year old retards - though, you aren't forced to join in with the community.

 

GTA: San Andreas

 

I loved the free-roaming, the many side-missions, the vehicles, the revolutionary features never seen before in previous GTA's. And though considered 'wasted space' by some, I really enjoyed trekking across the Badlands and deserts for myths. Not to mention the mods... oh the mods.

 

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

 

Hate all you want, but this was by far my favorite Call of Duty. I thoroughly enjoyed the single player and I, personally, find the multiplayer one of the most enjoyable out of the whole franchise.

 

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

 

I enjoyed the single player, but I probably wouldn't replay it ever again. The multiplayer is where the most fun is to be had.

 

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

 

As a fan of tactical gameplay, I really enjoyed playing through Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The customization in the game is also very nice.
