mkey82
-ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650 with Switchable™ Graphics technology This device is NOT made for gaming. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html To counter instability you can try using memrestrict. Lodis
Your GPU is a middle ranged one with only 128 Bits and you have a Dual Core. Both of those are terrible for GTA IV. If you want decent performance with GTA IV on a laptop it is best to have a Quad Core i7 and no less than a 256 Bit GPU that has at least 1GB of VRAM. mkey82
mkey82 how do you make you avatar change all the time? Nice and shiny feature, isn't it There are two ways, the fun and the easy way - the easy way is to find some site that support it, like http://www.clintonio.com/home/ - the fun way is to use some site of your own and have a script serving random images and that's what I did Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/462558-help-needed-why-gta-4-run-so-slow-on-my-notebook/#findComment-1060193240 Share on other sites

unknownmember
LOL Gee I wonder too why Jokes man, but really not trying to be rude and all but it's a laptop man. It's been said once and it sure doesn't hurt to repeat it. Also there's nothing such as a gaming laptop, no matter how you look at it. You really need to just live with the fact that it's not going to brake any records or even remotely. But it's not really just us consumers fault, it's also the makers ego accountants with their false advertising. Like describing a high end laptop as a " ..Powerhouse ".............. And I'm not joking this time. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/462558-help-needed-why-gta-4-run-so-slow-on-my-notebook/#findComment-1060196805 Share on other sites
