lil weasel
Money... and something to do in the game. Remember CJ is a murderer, OG is lucky CJ can not kill him. If you remember the cut-scenes CJ and the others had thought of Og as a Joke. The real question is Why would CJ kill all those other people for OG? Is CJ a born killer? Dark_side646
i mean he helped him at first and then helped his rival mad doggs??why is it?? Easy. For a chance at redemption and to get back at OG Loc for betraying him first. If you remember the segment in WCTR, where Lazlow interviews Loc, you can clearly see that OG had turned his back on the GSF and betrayed them, just like Big Smoke, Ryder and B-Dup did. CJ didn't betray OG Loc. It was OG Loc who betrayed CJ, despite all of CJ's help and changed sides with Smoke. Later, when CJ comes across Madd Dogg, trying to commit suicide, he saves him because he'd be feeling guilty about how he once caused Madd Dogg's downfall. That also for someone who turned his back on CJ when GSF were betrayed. So he helped out Madd Dogg as a means of gaining redemption and then they both overthrow OG Loc in order to take revenge for what he had done. @ lil weasel : The real question is Why would CJ kill all those other people for OG? Is CJ a born killer? Maybe he is. As far as I can remember, although he doubted whether Loc had any potential to be a gangster or a rapper (like OG kept claiming every time), CJ still cared about him to some extent. He'd willingly help him out just like with Sweet and the others. IMO, even though he didn't believe OG Loc would ever be able to succeed in the rap business, he was willing to grant his support and help him out as a friend. lil weasel
CJ mets OG through Big Smoke. CJ helps OG kill his homosexual lover. CJ kills Madd Dogg's staff and steals his book. CJ and the GSF don't like OG's music. OG works for Big Smoke. OG has Big Smoke as his manager. GSF is sold out by Big Smoke. So there we have the animosity. We see that CJ will ruin OG's career, but He can't bring himself to Kill OG. CJ gets back the book and makes piles of money managing Madd Dogg. Dark_side646
CJ mets OG through Big Smoke. Actually CJ already knew him. As was clear in the mission's cutscene, when Sweet mentions Jeffrey, CJ immediately understands who they were talking about and even asks why he got into prison in the first place. I still don't understand why we didn't just kill him. I know what you mean. I hated letting him and B-Dup live.
Cash High
OG Loc was a joke. I'm surpised CJ wanted to waste his time trying to help OG Loc with his garbage rap career. Oh, and he dropped the soap.
Dark_side646
I'm surpised CJ wanted to waste his time trying to help OG Loc with his garbage rap career. He wasted his time with Ryder too, didn't he? Apparently, CJ took the "homies for life" thing a little too seriously in the beginning, even if it meant helping out an idiot like OG Loc. Also, Loc's rap career wasn't that bad either, since he was at the top under Smoke's management. At lest he seemed to be before Madd Dogg took back his rhyme book. CJ have a genuine heart, he took the ''homies for life'' thing too seriously because he is a humble person and also by the fact in the beggining of the game his homies pressed him with that sh*t! Sweet always questioning CJ's attitude and Ryder saying ''No matter how much this city trown sh*t into you, CJ u need stick by your homiez'' and even O.G saying ''that's what i'm sayin love for your homiez'' Edited October 22, 2016 by lil weasel
PalominoFreak
CJ never really betrayed OG Loc. In fact it was Loc who used CJ just to become famous. Loc claimed to be a grove street gangster and to be loyal to the family so CJ as a fellow gang memeber tried his best to help his homie. In the end OG Loc never cared about the GSF. He just wanted to become a famout and rich fake ass rapper. If you listen to the radio station Big Smoke will even promote OG Loc and that happens after he sold CJ and Sweet out. Lancerator
CJ didn't betray Loc. Loc put things like trust and respect for his 'hood apart and got away with the fame (something very common nowadays and before). Besides, Loc was in Smoke's side, remember that Smoke was Loc manager and Loc was in CRASH side. So, yeah, it was: Carl, Cesar, Kendl, Sweet, Woozie, Truth vs. Tenpenny, Smoke, Ryder, Jizzy, T-Bone and Loc. lil weasel
Expediency. Madd Dogg was more current and important in the long run. And, if you played the game you would notice that O.G. Loc was a business partner of Big Smoke. The radio interview. Edited November 1, 2016 by lil weasel Lancerator
