yoječ
From what I understand you do not have 8MB/s internet connection, but 8Mb/s (which translates to 1MB/s = 1024kB/s). So those 850-900kB/s are about right.
Otter
That's an 8 Mega BIT speed, not 8 Mega BYTE.
TheGuyFromThere
To add to the above; for torrents, it depends how many other people are sharing. If 1 other person is sharing and they're uploading at 2kb/s - then that's what you'll be downloading at.. in fact, probably less. inactive

Tommy-Vercetti19
Well look for torrents with more Seeds and Peers, make sure your ports are opened and the torrent program is allowed access through your Firewall.
macorules94
8 Megabits equals to 1 Megabyte Megabyte = Megabit x 0.
d00d
8 Megabits equals to 1 Megabyte Megabyte = Megabit x 0.125 You're getting a pretty decent speed, compared to how your connection is described. The only thing you might be able to do to improve your connection is to connect to the router with a cable, rather than wirelessly. It won't make the download speed any faster but it will increase reliability and fault tolerance in network transmissions.
