Lithium
Hey do any of you guys like Alexisonfire? I just fired up my old ipod and I'm listening to accidents right now. I forgot how good of a band they are. I prefer the singing of Dallas Green, but I can even handle the screaming when the two are combined. My favorite song by them would have to be rough hands. So what do you guys think of them?
kaptainkoolkat
Just another sh*tty post hardcore band.
nerner
The song that you posted was alright until the singing became grating on my ears. One of the guys seems to be a decent singer while the other is just another Slipknot clone to me.
Remix
Never heard much of Alexisonfire, but I love City and Colour. Dallas Green can write some pretty awesome stuff.
Ryan
I listen to them quite a bit. I'd probably say they're biggest hit to date is "This Could Be Anywhere In The World". The song stops at 4:08 as the annotation says.

Dark.
Just another sh*tty post hardcore band. Seconded extremely. They sound like any other hardcore band, nothing even remotely special. It seems, to me, that it's hard to distinguish between any two hardcore/screamo/death metal bands. They all seem to be recycling the same stuff other bands have done. To be honest, strict rock music (vocals, drums, guitar, bass) is getting pretty overused and overrated. Experimental is the way to go.

And i think once your a fan of hardcore you get a better far for it. I'm able to tell the difference between those sort of bands. Maybe i just have a good ear for that post of thing. Dark.
Why should every band have to have something new? I'm not saying that every band that doesn't try to create something new, interesting, and "ahead of its time" is crap. If you want to play/listen to music of this sort, then good for you. Maybe it's just a personal thing, but I don't very much like the idea of sounding like someone else. With music, I want to create a unique sound that is all my own (or at least partially). I mean what is the point of creating a new sound when no-one else will use it? Jazz and rock music were considered "new" way back when, and look at how many bands today use it! What I'm waiting for and want to be a part of is, say, the Beethoven of our time. Something big will come after rock music, but what will it be and who will popularize it? (If you say "rap," I'll slaughter you)
