coin-god
How are Member Groups organized in GTAGarage? I recently found someone, and then many more, in GTAG that are not Just a "Modder" but a "Trusted Modder". I would like to know if thouse are the only 2 Gropus, appart from Admin/Moderator. And how is somone suppoused to be in that group. Because It dosnt look like an Automatic change, some people with Many mods are not Trusted, some with few are. Same with the amount of downloads or Files uploaded. Wesser He has few mods with 10k downloads. (And I have more mods than him + more downloads) Quechus He has many mods with plenty of downloads. (He has many more mods than me, but I have a few more downloads) sjaak327 He has very few mods (But with many files) and a lot of downloads. FunGT He has a lot of mods with a lot of downloads, yet hi is not Trusted. If its only by Moderator/Admin move, I beleave I'm a Trusted Modder and should be moved if it is possible. I ask because by Trusted Modder, Maybe that means the group does not have to wait for Validations in Mods. Would like to know that. Sorry if it is a known thing but I could not find any info about this.
AmyJones
I totally understand what you're trying to say. A lot of hard work goes into what we do. I did mods with many BF2 crews for example, but the term "trusted" means more than just no virus or crap content. It's generally meant towards those who has put extreme effort into their work and it's fun to download, enjoy and it's unique. Another example is the difference between a "tweek" and a "full conversion" It's those things that make you made on modding forums.
Mark
On GTAG, yeah it's purely means you can be trusted not to upload any old crap full of viruses. You can be trusted to create and edit your mods on your own. Only GTAG admins can change groups there. As a result, STM is your only choice. Apart from that, there's no real difference. No details pass over to GTAF, just you can get on with stuff a bit quicker. It's an option that often gets overlooked, for example I never once used it when I had GTAG Admin rights, merely cause I kept forgetting about the AdminCP and used the ModCP. These days, I tend to forget the ModCP..oops. Oh, reminds me, I need to get on with that DR.1 I said I was doing! Part modeled so far, got a week off so should smash some of it out.
