lil weasel
PROBLEM SOLVING: If you have changed OS or Screen settings, If your system upgraded anything (drivers, etc) Delete the GTA_SA.set File. Are you playing the game in W98/XP mode, with Administrative Privileges? And... before people here begin investing a lot of time trying to fix a possible NO-FIX situation: How are you playing: 1. With the Original DVD in the Drive? 2. OR are you Using a 'backup' disc? 3. Are you Using a No-CD program or crack? 4. With a Downloaded game that did not come from Direct2Drive or SteamPower.com? 5. Other source? Please specify. Also: When posting a problem, be sure to include the following: • Operating system (Windows 7, XP or Vista, and which Service Pack you have) • Video/Graphics card type and dedicated graphics memory (or shared memory?) • Processor • RAM (random access memory) • If you have installed mods, search or post a topic in the MODDING forum Answering these questions may help to identify the problem

Girish
Do you have any firewall or anti-virus softwares active? Try turning those off and check if the game still crashes.

Girish
Right-click on the Avast icon in Taskbar > Program Settings > Troubleshoot > Disable 'Avast Self Defense module'. Now, you should be able to kill all Avast related processes from Task Manager.
_ganxta_
There is no Option Like That
Girish
Hmm, looks like they changed things in the newer versions. I don't use Avast so I can't really direct you appropriately, but I suggest you try the avast! shields control and disable it. There should be a disable option. Once it's disabled, then try killing its process.

ecuwins
Avast shouldn't be the problem. I use multiplayer with Avast enabled and have no issues. My only suggestion is: 1) Uninstall the game and sa-mp. 2) Reboot. 3) Run CCleaner registry cleaner. 4) Reboot. 5) Reinstall San Andreas. 6) If V1, go to step 7. If V2, run the 7) Install sa-mp. lil weasel
Did you get it all when you uninstalled: reference: UNINSTALL and install if you have VISTA: If you're on Vista, you'll need to do this:1) Uninstall SA. 2) Delete the installation folder if it still exists. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 3) Delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 4) Delete the gta_sa.set file from your user files folder. 5) Reboot. 6) Reinstall SA. You never said... What is the Origin of your game. Where did you get it? Regarding the recently Locked topic: Do I understand that you have made your own DVD of the game from a downloaded game that is/was installed on your computer? _ganxta_
I Fixed That One Just Installed The Game Again ! ------------------------------------- Problem 2 : I put My Game In A Dvd To play where ever i go So it worked in the hard disk but when i put in Dvd .Start Sa-mp..the loading stops at half. Help ME !
james227uk
The loading bar stops at half way. Ok, does the game work normally (Without SA-MP, the original game)? The loading bar pausing at half way usually means you're either running mods with a V2 EXE, or there's something wrong with your GTA3.IMG
_ganxta_
The Normal Game Works Fine But It Works fine in hard disk but in Dvd It crashes
Girish
Hold on, are you trying to say that you burnt the installed game onto a DVD and are trying to run the game from the DVD? If yes, then that's your problem. I don't think it is possible to run the game from a burnt DVD of an installed game. You'll have to run it from your hard disk copy only. _ganxta_
Yes exactly thts my problem Sad To Hear That....
Girish
What's the problem in running the game from the HDD? Even if the game did work with the DVD, data is read much faster from a hard disk than a DVD. It's best that you play the game from the hard disk only. _ganxta_
I wanted A backup For my Game As Im Deleting It For a personal reason.... Girish
You always have the option of reinstalling the game from the original DVD. There's really no need to back it up.
