I have MANY games that I can no longer use due NOT to damage to anything, but rather the incompatibility of the software to upgraded computer systems. GTA IV pc version with m/k controls makes driving a little less fun, but the shootout sections are more realistic (awsome). You have "real time" reaction time, making the "auto-aim" feature obsolete. Seeing as GTA IV works on XP thru 7, there's no risk of that for years to come, and even then upgrading OS isn't necessary. The OP could get as much life out of it as he wants! As for the OP; No, not really, unless you have a PC that's capable of running GTA IV.
