help getting command prompt to run as admin

im on xp service 3

i try to run as admin for command prompt but it just doesnt run, when i run i type in a command and it will as access denied and sh*t like that which makes me pissed.

netsh int tcp set global ecncapability

im the owner of this comp and i have access to admin but im nt very sure since XP is 10 times harder getting to admin on vista/7 u just right click and click run as admin while xp needs some password and comfirm bullsh*t which makes it complicated.

Actually if your account is an admin level account in XP all you have to do is just run cmd. No need for whatever you think you need to do.

So let me get this right. You go to Start->Run and type cmd and hit enter and the command line window runs just fine. But when you type a command you get the error access denied? Or are you getting the error after you hit enter in the Run window?

Create a new user account, go into that and see if you get the same "access denied" error.

So every command you try you get access denied, correct?

Boot into SafeMode with Networking, also try without, and try the commands there.

 

Is ZoneAlarm installed?

 

Yes or no. Did you scan for viruses, spyware and the other things I said in my first reply?

If the answer is No, then DO IT
