yoječ
It should run quite well. Don't expect max settings, but it will be OK. But this PC could be built better. If you want we can build a gaming rig for you - just tell us how much you want to spend

yoječ
...well, I think for now it's better to stick with your 9800GT. That way you can have better CPU - and you'll just replace the GPU in the future, when you have enough funds. 529 zł AMD Phenom II Quad Core X4 955 AM3 BOX http://techplanet.pl/index.php?gk=100&id=35252 234 zł MSI 770-G45 AMD 770 Socket AM3 http://techplanet.pl/index.php?gk=100&id=43492 166 zł Samsung 500GB SATA2 (HD502HJ) http://techplanet.pl/index.php?gk=100&id=40143 232 zł 2x DDR3 Goodram 2GB PC1333 CL9 http://techplanet.pl/index.php?gk=100&id=31138 215 zł Fortron FSP500-60GHN 80+ 500W http://techplanet.pl/index.php?gk=100&id=41076 69 zł Samsung nagrywarka DVD SH-S223C czarny OEM http://techplanet.pl/index.php?gk=100&id=42267 161 zł CoolerMaster Elite 370 RC-370-KKN1 http://techplanet.pl/index.php?gk=100&id=53316 = 1 606 zł (~€402) Fast CPU, decent motherboard (the one you mentioned has nForce chipset, i. e. sucks), one of fastest HDDs on the market, 4GBs of RAM, proper PSU, good dvd writer and computer case. Stinky12
Thanks guys. Will sure check it all out E: also how much fps should i expect from this set? I'd like to have at least 26-30fps avg. Is that possible? The average FPS (Frames Per Second) you want to achieve is by the resolution you are going to play at. A higher resolution may require a beefier card to get the same FPS than a weaker card playing at a lower resolution. First determine what is your monitor's native resolution. Then decided on the video card you would like to get. Determine the settings you would like to play at: medium or high settings. Go to review sites and find benchmarks based on your criteria. Kukiel
I have small monitor 1024x768. I'd like to play it one highish medium (i dont really know how medium looks like compared to high but i'd like it to be a little over average). I haven't decided yet on what to buy. I think i will mix both sets as i for example don't need hdd (i already have 1000gb) and i think i will stay with my 9800gt for now.

If your monitor's native resolution is 1024x768 then the current card you have should handle the job. Note that some graphic cards like high resolutions if you want to take its full potential Looking at this thread link The OP (original poster) says he has a HD5970 running the game at 1024x768. He gets a average of 45.22 FPS and it lags. That card itself cost around $600 If you scroll down a bit, you'll see a chart from THG. As you can see, the same card running at a much higher resolution will get you a better FPS

Kukiel
ive done some research and ive been wondering if Intel Core i5 650 is better option than amd? e: maybe Intel Core i5 750. I guess its stupid question but is Intel Core i5 750/760 better than Phenom II Quad Core X4 955? Edited November 2, 2010 by Kukiel
yoječ
i5 is a bit better on stock setting, and much better when overclocked (comparing i5 and Phenom on same clock speeds).

Ron Taboga
GTA IV takes as good as no Profit from the L3 Cache of the Phenom (5% more), so a Athlon II X4 runs the game pretty well for its price. An Athlon II X4 is a Phenom II without the L3 Cache, the other architecture is identical.
Stinky12
Pay attention to the Core i5s as there are different types. Core i5 600s are dual cores Core i5 700s are quad cores The 600s are dual and has HT so it makes 4 threads, this IMHO is like a "fake" quad. The 700s are quad and does not have HT.
