lil weasel
Colour 'Scheme' PRE-TROUBLE-SHOOTING QUESTIONS: PROBLEM SOLVING: If you have changed OS or Screen settings, If your system upgraded anything (drivers, etc) Delete the GTA_SA.set File. Are you playing the game in W98/XP mode, with Administrative Privileges? And... before people here begin investing a lot of time trying to fix a possible NO-FIX situation: How are you playing: 1. With the Original DVD in the Drive? 2. OR are you Using a 'backup' disc? 3. Are you Using a No-CD program or crack? 4. With a Downloaded game that did not come from Direct2Drive or SteamPower.com? 5. Other source? Please specify.
radioman
That is normal, San Andreas is an older game-came out in 2005 for PC(before Vista and 7 came out), so it is not compatible with the Aero feature in Windows Vista and 7, thus is why it changes to Windows 7 Basic mode while the game is running-it goes back to the normal Windows 7 color scheme after you exit the game. This does this with Vista too. It does this on my Vista Home Premium desktop(it goes to Vista Basic mode while game is running, then back after exiting the game) and 7 Home Premium laptop, but it has absolutely NO effect on the performance of the PC nor the Game. I still get great gameplay at all settings with very little to no fps drops. So, there should be nothing to worry about unless you do not have an original version of the game OR are playing from a no-dvd crack. Just a heads up.
