860
f*ck yes it worked. First time I've ever got it right. Oh the amount of stereoscopic porn I've scrolled past when not being able to do this..
rhyn
My friend makes these. De-saturating the colour in one really gives it some depth. SRS Incorporated

NikoGTA4
Damn, I don't get it. I can cross my eyes and put on picture in the center, but I don't see sh*t! It's all blurry. The least blurry I could do was with the blue Camaro, I stared for like 20 seconds...
trip
Cool stuff. But thanks, now I'm all eye strained and feeling goofy. I love this kind of stuff. The brain is an amazing thing. Our (award winning)GIS unit at work actually does these with cool topographical maps. No need to cross your eyes because we have a cool stereoscope used for the images. Not one of those old fashioned stereoscopes - a super cool, table mounted, modern one. coin-god
My cat, this one turned out pretty good. Btw, I don't know if you people tried it, but moving your head around while seeing the effect is pretty cool. Edit: This one is perfect, because I put things in diferent positions You can really tell wich is in front of the other. And yeah, Im obsessed with this. coin-god
Yes im officially obssessed, I created a simple application that renders 3D Models with 2 cameras in slightly diferent positions to create the effect of 2 eyes. Best part is that It can show Animated models, and seeing animated models in this 3D effect is spectacular. Better than crappy Movies 3D. I don't know why game companies don't do this. You will probably say "I don't like to play games with my eyes crossed", you wouldn't really have to. There are special glasses in wich you can view movies, view the games you are playing and stuff. The only thing for this to work by just using thouse glasses is if one of the lenses shows one of the "images" and the other shows the other one. That way you will see 3D without having to mix them youself with crossed view. But well.
rhyn
If you're one of the people that can't get it to work, move the screen further away and it's a lot easier. SRS Incorporated

Harrisboy
It sorta works, but unlike the other pictures my focus doesn't seem to "hold" if you know what I mean.
OysterBarron
the easiyest way i found to do this is to put your finder about 6-7 inches infront of your face. Line your finger tip up in your field of view with the bottom middle of the pics and just focus on the tip of your finger until you see the 3 pictures. Keep concentratin and eventually the middle image will become much clearer allthough make sure you still focus on the finger and not the middle picture because its not actually there so you will lose it it should snap into place much easier than trying to keep crosseyed! hope this helps a few of you! with some of the bigger picks you might want to bring your finger in closer to your nose in order to focus properly! Pico
@goin-god, thanks I forgot I had watermarked the images with Picolini, it does stand out more when you link the pictures with your eyes. And I love the one of my old blue Camaro That was the first time I made one, I was going through the pictures I just took (just had bought that car literally 30 minutes before taking those pictures) and while scrolling through them I noticed the 3D effect and remembered just recently having read about how stereograms work. Also, I don't see how the saturation works either. Rhyn... maybe if the saturation was lowered but it appears that the contrast and/or brightness has been changed or affected. But in general, if color is affect your eye causes a flashing effect. I use this same technique in those "Spot the difference" games, like below. It makes them so easy, I can spot all the difference in a fraction the time that people can who don't use the trick. As for being able to do this... I've also had awesome eye control, I can cross my eyes on cue. Once I lock the images together I can even look at different areas of the image. As for viewing these... I have a 40" TV hooked up to my computer, and I have a plugin that allows me to resize the images on the fly in the browser. So it's easy to get it to fit and view them, nice and large @Futurama freak, very nice, works like a charm The 2d drawing is alright. Has to be tough... but due to the style of the drawing I'm sure it was very hard to give much depth to it. I wouldn't even know where to begin with a drawing.
