radioman Posted October 31, 2010 Share Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) Alright, since this section is for Un-modded games only, the FIRST thing to do is get rid of ALL mods(this may mean a complete un-install/re-install and delete the .set file in the User Files Folder.), Run the game normally(un-modded) and if the game plays fine, install mods one at a time until you find the culprit one. Note though that V2 is extremely limited on modding ability-.img and other mods will not work-only .ipl and script mods will work. V3(the Steam/D2D version) is completely un-moddable. So, if you have V3 or V2, noted on the start screen as "V2.00" at the bottom, or V3(noted if obtained from Steam/D2D), the mods you listed will not work. Just a heads up/Hope this helps. Also, are you using the Original DVD or a No-DVD Crack? Is this the Retail version or a Download version? If Downloaded, form where? What are your system specs(from the Pinned topic here): Before you post a topic, please read the pinned bug lists/fixes. The un-modded(normal) game should play just perfect on that set-up. Are you using the Original DVD? Is this the Retail(DVD) version or a Downloaded version? If Downloaded, from where? Where to (Buy) Download: Direct2Drive SteamPowered Generally not moddable. Rockstar Warehouse boxed PC games: Rockstar Site Also available at on-line sites… Amazon.com (I got a replacement copy for 10.00$US) and stores, GameStop, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and their dot coms, etc. Version 2 modable with some difficulty. There's the problem, since it is not an Original version, there are more than likely files missing that are necesary to run the game. So, the only solution is to Buy a legit copy from any retailer-ie. Wal-Mart, K-mart, Target, gamestop, ebgames-or from theie on-line counter parts-OR from either Steam or D2D. Also, GtaForums has a "no warez" policy in its' rules here,. Since it is an illegal copy, it is in violation of Statues 812.014. There is no reason to NOT buy it legit, as it is dirt cheap now a days-less than $10 retail and less than $20 from Steam/D2D.-this should have been the first thing you should have done.
