Vercetti27
On my 5th playthrough I've been using the subway loads to get to playboy's missions in north holland from south bohan. I enjoy the atmosphere of the subway as well, and it makes a nice change from driving

Mokrie Dela
All the time as Niko, I like opening the phone camera to view the inside as it moves along. Niko also uses cabs alot too Never as Luis and sometimes as Johnny The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Magic_Al
The subway has little practical use in a game about stealing cars, but I'm glad it's there to make the city feel more real. The ability to move around while riding the train in Red Dead Redemption shows technical progress that might make trains more interesting in the next GTA. If you could rob passengers, fight with transit cops riding the train, hijack the train, get off at a random place between stations, and if there were more maintenance tunnels as implied in Three Leaf Clover, and if cops would pursue realistically in the tunnels or try to trap you based on the fact THEY KNOW YOU'RE IN A TUNNEL, then there could be more action down there. I agree with everythere there though (hijacking should be in a mission and then unlocked for fun after - imagine the machima potential! THE TAKING OF LIBERTY 123!). I like the idea to get off between stations - though that's perhaps not that realistic. I use it alot as Niko because of my "personality" play - i see niko as a professional, and professionals can utilize public transit to lose/check for tails. I find it fun to "live" GTA like that (as niko). Many wont however The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Mati
Not too often. But there is a cool trick: While in the subway, go to your cell and go into camera mode...
Puto Bendejo
I only use the subway in missions, so as Niko I use it several times, never as Johnny, and only to steal the subway car as Luiz
AlexGTAGamer
I only use the subway when I'm not doing any missions.

Redketman
Subway? When I first read this topic I didn't even remember there was a subway in GTA IV. Well, I haven't played the game so often since 2008.. But now I remember that you used the subway during at least one mission. But other from that I don't think I have used the subway that much. The tracks are very long too. It is funnier to go by plane, train or something else. Now there are no planes in GTA IV but I would have prefered that over subways. But I think it is good that there are subways in GTA IV because then there are more features in the game and that is positive. I don't use the tracks though. --Vega--
If I ever wanna feel just like an "everyday" person in Liberty City I'll ride on the Subway.
Wolfenhoffen
Subway or Infernus? Hmm.... that's a tough choice, lol
conscioushours
I actually use it pretty often. It's much cheaper than taxis and nice and fast to use if you happen to be near to a station. At the beginning of the game I used it even more, mainly cuz I'm from a small town (like real small) and almost never get a chance to use subway. It felt so cool. lol
TDE
Never, but I use taxi
Jimbatron
In multiplayer, the subway has huge tactical value if you are the Boss in Cops and Crooks. Shame the trains don't run in MP though, that would make chases down there more interesting.
Mainland Marauder
Occasionally, usually outside missions, but it is a decent alternative to walking or driving. I use the taxis to get around more than anything. The city truly is massive and driving, say, from Hove Beach to Bohan can take a good while. Jimbatron
Other than driving into to escape the law (either in SP or as the Boss in CnC MP) the most useful train journey to ride on (I find) is between South Bohan and Northwood, as it is an easy way to get between the Bohan Safe House and Playboy's loft (just one stop away).
