shamelessbump
Alright let me give the rundown as descriptive as possible to get someone to answer a noob's plight one that hasn't given anything to this forum just queries. Lately I got the ENB settings I desired everything was cool and dandy then I look towards the more crowded downtown LA areas of the map from Groove Street and the frame rate drops to lag noticeable enough to footsteps audio when running is out of sync, rims don't spin properly and CJ is lagging across the map as well as everyone else. But when I turn to areas with less objects towards the beach where there is not much going on it's fine only when I'm in the direction of downtown is when the game lags. With the ENB settings off everything is ok only when they are on is when I get this problem. My general PC specifications are as follows: AMD Athlon 64x 5000+ dual-core 2.6GHz 6GB DDR2 800MHz ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series 1GB GDDR3 of video memory (HD4850 Sapphire series) clock setting are stock at Core Clock 625 MHz Memory Clock in MHz 993 MHz Catalyst™ Version 10.10 (latest drivers) I installed the APP version to see what difference in performance was noticeable or possible I think it may be the cause to my problems but I'm not sure as these drivers are Beta and different from the drivers Boris tested. link to drivers pagehere 1st Scenario of what my problem may be the drivers I'm using.. Screenshots of my Catalyst 3d settings 2nd scenario my enb settings are the cause of the frame drop. 3rd Scenario the settings I tweaked on SALA Additional troubleshooting ideas may be the map modifications conflicting with the game which are More Interiors mods and Rokko map mod. Or the modified particle.txd file. If anyone has had problems like this and found a solution please let me known how to fix it. I will be doing the troubleshooting methods I posted until then, so give suggestions to what is causing this frame drop because as you can see I shouldn't be getting any such thing Edited October 31, 2010 by shamelessbump Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/462175-gta-sa-enb-frame-rate-drop-issues/ Share on other sites
Whyse1
This should been in SA ENB Topic. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/462175-gta-sa-enb-frame-rate-drop-issues/#findComment-1060185023 Share on other sites
shamelessbump
Yeah sh*t I didn't notice that it was being posted in the mod showroom >tools. But I do think this is advantageous. As people only like to be moderators and only make a comment about threads being out of place. "That it belongs here and no we aren't going to help you until you change the thread to it's proper topic" attitude. I find that awesome. shamelessbump
Disable effect one by one until lagging stops. Yeah but even if I did do that I wouldn't have the settings I wanted and also if you looked at my specs I shouldn't have a problem running ENB with SA Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/462175-gta-sa-enb-frame-rate-drop-issues/#findComment-1060185108 Share on other sites
