banglaheartthrob
Hi Thanks to the admin for the quick email verification and activation. I have the GTAIV:EFLC standalone pc game. My PC's general specs: AMD Phenom II x 4 965 @ 3.4 ghz 4 gigs DDR3 RAM XFX HD5850 1 GB with ATI Catalyst 10.10 (latest) The issue is: The water bodies in the game look really weird as water is totally invisible. When I jump into it (eg. Central Park), I can see splashes as I swim, but no water textures. The water properties are still there, meaning things still float and boats can move around on it. As the water is presented as invisible, I can only see the textures of the bottom of the water body, (ie. sand, rocks, etc). The rivers and oceans are in a shade of general blue seen from a distance, but it looks weird when the boats and yachts are actually floating in mid air! I've tried unpatched, patched to 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, all with the same issue. Wonder if anyone has encountered this and perhaps you may share how it was resolved? Many thanks in advance. banglaheartthrob
Hey T-ru, Thanks for the tip. After struggling with a few versions of the driver, ati's 10.6 gave the best result. The gorgeous water textures are back! Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/462174-gtaiveflc-water-graphics-issue/#findComment-1060186073 Share on other sites
