How to Edit Weapon Name?

Hi,can anybody tell me what is the easy way to edit weapons name?I already got GXT Editor...so kindly please anyone?

you mean, in game texts and such?

just search for the value of whatever you try to edit, and turn it into the name you want it to be

for example:

you turn "M4" into "G36"...

 

but if you want it to apply to missions too, you are gonna have to work quite hard...lots of texts to change...

You use the search tool in the program, and enter the Text you are looking for. Wich is the name of the gun.

already tried that...but still..can anybody give me the code manual like "19234889 M4"?Coz I didnt utilize that search mode yet...

try CTRL+F

and CTRL+N

 

just write M4 in each one

and you will find the value...

there are many entries with the M4 thing, because there are many references for it in the game

You have two ways to get weapon names (from Ammunation, I believe):

1. Sanny Builder directory\help\GXT Strings\GTASA.text contains ALL GXT entries with values in it.

2. In shopping.dat file you can see weapon name under 'nametag' column (scroll down to 'section Weapons'):

 

    	shotgun  	SHOTGN1  15  respect	0  sexy 0  600

 

 

In this case, GXT name for shotgun is SHOTGN1. Instead of searching by milion hashes, you have to just find 'SHOTGN1' Entry Name and that's all.

Suppose , you want to rename M4 to M16 :

 

1.Open GXT Editor and open SA root\text\american.gxt

2.Press Ctrl+F and search for M4

3.Once found,you can see some values and name of the M4

4.Change M4 to M16 in the Right screen and do a click on any name in the left screen.

5.Once it is changed,Press F3 and change all the names of M4 to M16

5.Enjoy!!
