pegi007
Hi, I have laptop Asus K72Jk: Intel Core i3-350M, 2.27GHz ATI Mobility Radeon HD5145 1GB Vram 4GB RAM Windows 7 64bit GTA IV with Patch 7 Game is unplayable because every ~3s game is in "slow motion", something like here: I tried older drivers, newer drivers, commandline, disabling services like windows event log, changing in game settings from low to high(all combinations), disabling aero, running game in compatibility mode, defragging hdd, game booster .... I also contacted GTA IV support - send them dxdiag and other files - but no answer I know this is not gaming laptop - but I can run Colinmcrae DiRT 2 on medium or Mafia II on medium-max settings without any problems.... I also found guy with same laptop but he has windows 7 32bit and he says that he runs GTA IV without any problems, and also every time I benchmark game (it doesnt matter if it is on low or high settings) i get max. ~17FPS and the usage of memory, video and cpu is never above 50% ... Do you know how to fix it or any advices? thx PS: No I dont want to reinstall windows 7 from 64bit to 32bit.... monster875.
i don't think that mobility cards r build for gaming so maybe that's the problem EDIT: or ask mkey, he knows everything about computers and specs Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/462044-slowmotionlaggy/#findComment-1060182166 Share on other sites

mkey82
EDIT: or ask mkey, he knows everything about computers and specs Thanks for the vote of confidence, but that's far from truth. Most of the advice I try to hand out here is based on other people experience as I personally never had most of these issues. pegi007, the mobility cards are in fact not made fro gaming, and those 17 FPS sounds about right. You can try various game versions in combination with xliveless to get the most out of the game but do note if you have updated the game to 1.0.7. you'll have to reinstall the game. As for the slow motion issue, a few people had it but I have never seen it resolved. Try reinstalling the game and then check out various patch versions.
