Tyler
Note: If there's a topic for this, then lock this one. I checked back three pages and found nothing. So I'm sure this is an old topic, but seeing as Tron: Legacy will be coming out any time now I wanted to know what everyone thinks of it. I'm hyped personally, this sequel looks like it will do justice to the name. Jeff Bridges will be returning, and will play a major role in the film. The musical score was done by Daft Punk, who are obvious fans of the original. Here is the premier score and the newest trailer. SARK!

Claude Speed.
It's the only movie I'm waiting for this year. I don't watch new movies usually.
Tyler
Let's just hope Disney doesn't f*ck it up. But yeah, on top of this, we can all get a little Tron action on December seventh, when Tron: Evolution comes out. Looks to be like a mix of one of those Japanese racing games, Parkour, Button Mashers and Tron.

Jay
I like the sound of Derezzed. I think the dudes they got to do the score might get big when this is released, really the breakthrough they needed
Mark
Lets keep this civil. That goes for the vets in here too. I personally can't wait, I absolutely loved the first one. Alas everyone else I know thinks it's gonna be a total geekfest so would rather see the latest chick flick or Saw movie or whatever. Shame really. Probably catch it on DVD or Blu-ray as a result. WidowMaker
Get better friends. You can't find anyone interested in Tron? Seriously?
Tyler
Damn Mark, that is a shame man. I got three friends I'm going with on release night, one of which I used to serve with. Hell even my sixteen year old brother' girlfriend wants to make him go see this movie, that's obviously a sign.

darthYENIK
Man, December is going to be Jeff Bridges month. First Tron, and then True Grit. Anyway, can't wait to see this. I hope they keep the soundtrack similar to the original, since it was my favorite part of it.
trip
I finally started to see the trailers for the new Tron. Add me to the list of excited people. It looks like they are keeping true to the story too. That makes me happy. Xo4
I seriously can't find the first movie on DVD. Its sold out everywhere and its f*cking $40 on eBay, and i'm too goddamn cheap to spend $40 on one movie.
Tyler
Ah damn bro, that does suck. Probably all the anticipation. You could get netflix for one month - free trail or just ten bucks out of your wallet. Much better than forty bucks and you can watch it as much as you want for that month. Xo4
Nope, I got a netflix and its basically backordered and you can't watch it instantly.
Robinski
Another song from the soundtrack: Tron Legacy. I think I read it's the closing titles track. Please forgive Annie Mac shouting over the middle of it.
trip
I am going to see this one in the theater. That's a big deal for me since the last two movies I saw in the theater was the ATHF movie and before that, Star Wars ep1(piece of crap). Loving the previews so far, and from the little bit I have picked up on the movie, it seems that they are going to keep true to the original story and whatnot. I'm so very happy that it isn't just a remake. My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
Little William
It's good that they making a sequel to Tron and a bloody long time too (nearly thirty years since the first one). The first one was legendary, with the bike races and electronic frisbee showdowns. I just hope the sequel will be as good, if not better, than the first one. Andyzoot
A visual fest, I really enjoyed it. I see it's had some pretty average reviews but I completely disagree. It's not perfect but I think it's worth your money.

Girish
Just came back from the theatres; and I'm slightly disappointed. There aren't as many action sequences as one would expect after watching the trailers. There's a lot of storytelling. Now, I don't have a problem with that as it explains the story nicely but I was hoping for a more visual storytelling rather than just verbal. Also, the ending was a little tame and seemed a bit rushed, but it's got enough potential to trigger another sequel. Don't let this put you off though. I emphasized the word 'slightly' because the rest of the movie is an absolute delight for any sci-fi lover's eyes. The CGI is too pretty to avoid. You have to watch this movie at least once for the superb implementation of The Grid. The performances are pretty solid too. And quite surprisingly, it doesn't even seem surreal. Although, if you're going to be spending more money to watch this in 3D, well, don't. Almost half the movie is shot in 2D. I had to take off the glasses because the 2D scenes were too dark with them on. And even the 3D scenes seem kinda unwanted. They haven't really made optimum use of the 3D feature. Only about 5 minutes of footage is worth the 3D effect that made me go 'Woah!'. It seems as if the producers are only trying to cash in on this recent 3D frenzy. The movie would be just as fine in 2D. Now, for those who have watched the movie, I didn't quite get the following part and I'm hoping somebody has a logical explanation. In the final scene, where Tron is chasing Flynn, it suddenly realizes that it is supposed to fight for the user. How does that happen? I was expecting that Flynn was going to re-program him or something, just like he re-programmed that one other program (by accessing the controls from the disc on his back) and then took his vehicle. But Tron realizes his user-friendly orientation just out of nowhere. That didn't make sense to me. Did I miss something or what?

The only thing I can think of is that Tron had bits of his old programming coming through. Its never really explained it just happens so Tron becomes the good guy again Saw this again tonight. I love this movie.
