Is Ray's Ristorante, "Drusilla's", A Failure?

Recommended Posts

Most of you guys are complete assholes. Seriously, OP is just asking a simple question and you all have to be rude.

cidamelo doesn't need to grow up, the majority of all you guys need to grow up and learn to respect someone's question no matter how far-fetched it is.

So what if the OP feels sympathetic towards a video game character? They probably feel sympathetic towards a lot more things as well.

No one is going to be the same emotionally.

So either everyone shuts the f*ck up and leave the thread, as you clearly aren't adding anything to it by picking on cidamelo, or you engage in the topic by posting things that contribute to the theories.

Christ you guys piss me off sometimes. If I had known GTAForums was inhabited by 12 year olds, I would of never registered.

Anyway, back on topic, I feel like Ray's restaurant is open during the times when Niko isn't doing missions for Ray. If I remember correctly, I think I saw people eating outside at one point (unless that was a different restaurant, I can't remember exactly).

Also, when Niko goes to do a mission for him, the restaurant closes for a bit and then re-opens when Niko has completed the job.

I mean, if I was a customer there, I wouldn't want a thick accented mobster yelling at the top of his lungs about two millions worth of diamonds... I would like to enjoy my food biggrin.gif

Also, the one thing that I love about Ray is his accent! And the fact that he's just a funny character! Shame he had to die sad.gif

^ This.

I think you're thinking of a different restaurant, don't think i've seen anyone eating outside.

I think the logical explanation would be that the restaurant's open but when Ray's "working" the greeter doesn't let anyone in.

That and it's a predominantly mob hang out...

Hi Kreepman Drusilla's is open when Niko is doing the missions, except maybe for the mission "Museum Piece", because in the mission "A Long Way To Fall", Drusilla's maître treated Niko like he was a costumer. Sometimes I saw people eating outside too, but it isn't very common. Next to Drusilla's is another restaurant, and it always have more person than in Drusilla's. And other thing: some people said Ray didn't care about Drusilla's, but I think he cares, because there's a lot of Drusilla's adverts around the city! I love Ray's accent too, is very funny, Phil Bell accent is funny too lol.gif

@MyDog I think Phil said that the place was "tapped" so they couldn't say anything to detailed otherwise the FIB would get information on their "business dealings". Also I think bada-bim bada-bum is secret mafia talk along the lines of "what has to be done" or something of someone getting "wacked".

MyDog he said Budda Beep Budda Boop, Phil is very afraid of being tapped by the feds, so he talked it to say something about "Harry", and Ray Boccino whistles. I don't know who is this Harry, I wanted to know sad.gif Maybe this Harry was an associate of the Pegorinos, but he was turning state, and maybe he was going to say something bad about Ray, that's why Phil asked Ray to be "cool"

I found it on the internet. I don't know what Phil was saying by that, but bada-bing bada-boom is a quote used by Sonny Corleone (and later The Sopranos, the Bada Bing! club is named after it) to describe something as easy.

Went little off-topic here, sorry 'bout that.

WF the Hobgoblin

Whaddaya kidding me, you never howd of Budda Beep Budda Boop before, uh?

There's different variations, bada bing bada boom generally means easy or simple or when somethings been taken care of. Budda Beep Budda Boop could mean anything i believe, in this instance, Phil uses it and Ray whistles to describe something about the guy in question. Funny paranoid mafia codes.

AlexGTAGamer and I think Phil Bell was alerting Ray to be more "calm" in his "bussiness", because maybe he was getting too much heat for the Pegorinos. Ray was more audacious than Phil ph34r.gif MyDog but I think this doesn't make sense, Phil would say Harry the guy with "easy"? Budda beep budda boop mean another thing this time, I guess..... but maybe they really took off this "Budda beep budda boop" thing from the Godfather ph34r.gif WF the Hobgoblin I've heard in movies and tv series but I don't understand what it means in Truck Hustle...... I guess only the Pegorinos know what it means tounge2.gif One thing I didn't understand too is what Niko meant to say in the mission "Museum Piece", when he says: Is this the merchandising? And Ray says: No, it's my lunch, and Niko takes something, was it a pizza notify.gif ? And in the mission "Pegorino's Pride", what Ray gives to Jimmy, a jewelry?

We're not supposed to know what it means in this instance, he's being intentionally vague.

Museum Piece: I believe it was the ice.

WF the Hobgoblin

Sorry, i wrote that by mistake.

As far as i can remember, Niko takes the diamonds to the museum, meets up with Johnny to exchange it for Roth's money. Luis crashes the party, escapes with the ice and Johnny escapes with the money.

WF the Hobgoblin I think it's strange Ray let 2 million dollars in ice next to a lot of pizzas lol.gif And do you know with who was Ray talking in Museum Piece? It was Ashley? Ashley is so ugly, I don't know why Ray loves her!!!

And do you know with who was Ray talking in Museum Piece? It was Ashley? Ashley is so ugly, I don't know why Ray loves her!!!

No, we don't know who he was talking to. Probably either Roth, Bell or Pegorino.

Ray doesn't love Ashley... he's banging her for fun, she's just a whore to him.

Hmmm I don't know, best explanation is that it's a slow time, the fancier Italian restraints usually don't pick up business until later at night, say 6:30 to closeting time, though since you can take the missions at any given time, my theory leave a big hole.. confused.gif

I don't know, it could be Ashley but she don't sound like the type to wear the pink thing wi' the little feathers on the *whistles*. Hey maybe I'm wrong but it's probably some other broad he's bangin', you know?

Edited by WF the Hobgoblin

buzbegone ew that's gross lol.gif I was imagining Jimmy wearing a pink thing with little feathers on the moto_whistle.gif Unfortunately, I think Ray really loves Ashley. In the mission "Taking In The Trash", he really was concerned about her addiction. And like they say, "love is blind", if Ray was just looking for some whore, he could get women much more hotter than Ashley, because Ashley was horrible!

Mr.c TO the J I think Museum Piece and Late Checkout are supposed to take place at night, but in Museum Piece the restaurant seemed closed, and in Late Checkout nobody was there cry.gif

WF the Hobgoblin maybe it is the wife Phil Bell's nephew, Frankie. Phil said Ray wanted to "bang" his wife.

WF the Hobgoblin I love this accent lol.giflol.gif I assume sometimes I can't understand what Phil or Ray is saying, like in the mission "A Long Way To Fall", Ray say something like "Are you kiddin', I'll pay double", but if it wasn't the legends, I wouldn't understand anything lol.gif

Maybe the "ristorante" is not open to customers when ray has his sit downs with Niko, seeing as he probably wouldn't wan't any "feds" or others eavesdropping on his conversation. Kind of like the Sopranos, sometimes when the crew is hanging out at the Bada Bing by the stages when it's empty. Then again, it is a front, so maybe the ristorante is more of a social club for mob associates, but Ray sets it up like it's an successful open business. Speaking of Little Italy, I really wish GTA IV had more Italian organized crime influenced neighborhoods, since IRL "Little Italy" in NY isn't really an Italian neighborhood but more of a tourist trap. Rockstar should of tried to imitate real-life Italian influenced neighborhoods like Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge, & Dyker Heights. Would of been cool to be able to watch as Italian "wiseguys" sat outside of social clubs or cafes just chatting. dozingoff.gif

Cash High the ristorante is open to costumers when Niko goes to do missions, because in the mission "A Long Way To Fall", the mâitre treats Niko as a normal costumer. I think it's a front for the Mafia, but not just a front, because Drusilla's advertisings are through all the city, so they try to make it successful, if it were just a front, it wouldn't have advertisings. I like Little Italy, its small and classy lol.gif .
