I love these topics you start up. - If you watch enough TV shows you see that all successful organised crime guys have a bar or a nightclub or a restaurant where they do bidness. - It probably gets a few customers at night. During the day all the other mobsters and hoods are busy working. - If *I* was a LC resident I wouldn't eat there because they smoke in the kitchen and turn bikers' faces into creme brule -- that'd smell terrible. - But I really like the location of the restaurant. I think it is, no one goes there, poor Ray AceRay I agree with you Ray deserved a more "cinematographic" death, poor Ray, even his death was awful! tbh niko goes there a few times for missions - the restaurant's never fully shown so there COULD be people in there, and in the vid linked to earlier, the man says "in the back" I'll agree with the guy that said because it's a mob restaurant the general public will not come in too often - it's not supposed to be a hugely popular place, it's a mob hangout.... Or it's a simple oversight by R*. It's not a "failure" but more a place where cutscenese are and R* probably couldn't be bothered to animate dozens of people inside just for a few cutscenes. @buzbegone fair enough. Whenever I go there to do a mission for Ray I always wear a suit so I can feel smart and well dressed in there. It is a shame that you can't see an Italian mafia boss in there with his bodyguards having a little "chat" about "business" or a certain "friend", or for a laugh meet Brucie or Gay Tony or some other character having a meal there. cidamelo Posted October 29, 2010 Author Share Posted October 29, 2010 mati1501 I think it's kind of obvious Ray is the owner, and in the website PeepThatsh*t.com they say Drusilla's is family tradicional and it exists since 1971 so the restaurant is a tradition of Ray's family, and he has the restaurant as a "legitimate business", just like Honkers which is owned by Jimmy Pegorino. I agree that the business with the diamonds was just unlucky for Ray, although it was partly because he employed people who tried to rip him off ( The Lost, Luca and his crew ). He must make money from somewhere though, since both Jimmy and Phil called him a good earner. I suspect business Drusilla's is fine, regardless of what the cutscenes would lead you to believe. Posted October 29, 2010 Share Posted October 29, 2010 Well i don't think Ray gives two mierda's about how populated drusilla's is, i mean the point is, it is keeping him and his organization look sort of legitamate, so as long as that is happening and the money rolling in from his criminal entiprise is still good, i'd say in his eyes, drusilla coudn't be better. It's depressing because I feel sorry for fiasco restaurants, and for lonely people like Ray. I care about Ray, I feel sorry for him . Drusilla's has two known employers, a maître and a waiter. It sadens me how we humans as individuals compete in extreme ways like that, don't know why it's perfectly normal to care about your own life more than anyone else because it's yours, but yeah very few people would be kind enough to actually put sombody else first.
