StoProGratis
http://www.iryokufx.com/mlaa/gallery/index.html#gtaivanchor Check this out. MLAA is working with GTA IV. You will probably need newest drivers and hotfixes to run it in GTA IV. Can someone with AMD 6850 ot HD6870 card check this? And maybe tell us something about performance and show more screens? Chevyboy
Also works with 5*** series cards. Although it does require an unofficial edit to get it working with the 5*** series cards for the time being, 10.11 (next months) drives should give the 5*** series cards official support. Personal I'm using the unofficial edit with my 5850 and it works wonders, slightly better looking AA than you gain with ENB with a MUCH smaller performance hit. In game FPS seems to take a 3-5 FPS hit and the benchmark supports those numbers. Very happy with MLAA so far however it only seems to work on DX 9 titles, this however isn't a major issue as most DX 10 and 11 games support MSAA already. Not at home and won't be on that computer for a few days (next week at the earliest) so won't be able to post any screenshots until then.
mkey82
The question is, will it work on 4000 series cards? I'm to lazy to find out on my own.

No, don't have links handy but ATI has said (as well as many "insiders") that the 4*** series cards aren't able to perform MLAA. I don't remember the reasoning but it seemed valid. Jigglyass
This does work on 5xxx series, but not on the 4xxxx. I will provide links to a hack on modding the driver to get MLAA on 5xxx cards.
GTA3Freak-2001
I gather the 5770 should also work with this unoffial hack?

OverTheBelow
The question is, will it work on 4000 series cards? I'm to lazy to find out on my own. MLAA is done via DirectCompute, in which you need a directx 11 card to use.
mkey82
DirectCompute is part of the Microsoft DirectX collection of APIs and was initially released with the DirectX 11 API but runs on both DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 graphics processing units. What may be questionable is Directcompute version, don't know much on the subject.

Still, my brother is gutted it doesn't work on his 4870.

You need direct compute version 11 to have MLAA, 4870 only supports direct compute 10.1, therefore; it cant take advantage of MLAA.
TWIST_OF_HATE
Sorry for bump, but I can't get MLAA to work properly with GTA IV, version 1.0.8.0. I have AMD 7770 card, latest AMD drivers, DirectX, Visual C++, Windows 7 SP1 64 bit. When I enable MLAA via CCC for GTA IV - I can actually see that it WORKS, judging by slightly blurred tex in menu. But in-game there is absolutely no effect. What can be wrong ? P.S. Nevermind, fixed it. Edited April 27, 2018 by TWIST_OF_HATE
