ecuwins
It's your graphics card. It's on par with my old machine's card. I had to use 16bit color to get playable frames
radioman
Your Video card and Ram are holding you back-64mb of vram is not much, and 1GB Ram is not much by today's standards. So, add another 1GB stick of Ram to make it 2GB, AND lower the in-game settings to the lowest possible settings, and the game will play just fine. Ram is dirt cheap now a days-around $20 @ any Wal-Mart store, so these are the best and cheapest options to take. Hope this helps. Just curious, what fps do you get on your current set-up with the lowest settings? Also, upgrading to SP3 for XP should also help performance some too. Blizzard14
DO NOT play the game if your computer can not handle it. You can mess up your computer.

epoxi
Your Video card and Ram are holding you back-64mb of vram is not much, and 1GB Ram is not much by today's standards. It's not RAM that's the problem, I used to play SA with 128MB of RAM no problem. The biggest problem is your (lack of a) graphics card. One time I installed SA on a dual core computer with 2GB of RAM and it ran slower than my 7 year old computer because it was using the Intel integrated graphics. Just get a cheap graphics card (e.g. GeForce 6600) and it should run smooth as butter.
Spider-Vice
DO NOT play the game if your computer can not handle it. You can mess up your computer. That's absolutely not true, if the computer can't handle it, it just can't handle it, it can't load all the stuff at once and will refuse to work properly. It's not gonna damage your hardware, otherwise benchmark tests would blow your CPU up as they put it to 100%. win001
Can't you get a better graphics card? I haven't heard of that graphics card before but I bet its slow. You know you could get Nvidia 9500 GT for under 50 bucks right now. Im using that graphics card and I can play gta san andreas at max settings and gta 4 at low settings but i get 25 fps average and im using core 2 quad processor. So definetly get a new graphics card (and maybe new processor).
