Texture Quality Problem

When I first installed GTA IV (w/o patch) texture quality seems ok.. But when I patched it to 1.0.1.0 this appeared.. I hope that other patches will fix it but nothing happened... I set texture quality to high but textures seem to be on low. I tried on medium but it's still there..

You are using a very low resolution, that's probably a part of the problem. Med to high settings on lowest resolution?

Wait, you have the GT9500 card? I told you, you can't run the game on that card on those settings properly.

But with a non-patched GTA IV I can activate properly the high quality textures.. I just patched my GTA IV for script mods (asi, lua, etc.). What the heck was that?

Possibly you've modded the game and that has caused problems

 

That's an IV graphics menu prior to Patch 6 (shadow density got replaced with night shadows). It looks like you are playing as Luis Lopez, but that's not the BOGT menu, which is coloured blue and pink.

 

I would try a fresh install and see if that helps.

I reinstalled then FIXED but when I patched it to 1.0.4.0 the problem RETURNED... BTW, if you noticed that it is Luis Lopez, it is only my mod...
