GTA IV Qs

Love this game! GTA III was my fav even though Vice City and San Andreas offered a lot more in terms of gameplay. Since IV came out, it has become my favorite of the series. Anyway, I have a few questions with IV;

I like R*'s Red Dead Redemption a lot. It plays a lot like GTA and I am glad it's getting all these add-ons. However, where's the GTA love R*? I know IV is an older game now and they are probably hard at work on GTA V or whatever next GTA title is planned but would it kill them to give us some more DLC for IV? Even the basics for DLC like more weapons, cars, outfits would make me happy. A lot of people are playing this game for the first time still and some like me, are still playing it over and over. In my opinion, IV is not dead just yet.

 

I'd like it if they could fix some things with The Lost and Damned too. Johnny could use more safehouses and outfits. It would be nice if they could fix the issues with the SlamVan, Regina, and Tampa and make them respawn. It would be also great if they made the prison buss spawn in Alderney at the Police station in Leftwood and State Prison in Acter.

 

The Ballad of Gay Tony was a pretty fun add-on in terms of gameplay. Parachutes are plain fun! I say the same with TBoGT though; while not necessary, more safehouses would be great. It's GTA! You gotta have a ton of cash, cars, and houses, right? Also, bring the Police Stinger and bike to SP and give the Skylift and Swift a permanent place to spawn.

 

Has anyone heard anything about R* possibly releasing more DLC for GTA IV?

 

If your driving a Stallion, get out and look at the dash with a sniper rifle. There is a photo taped to the dash. The same interior is reused in the Rhapsody (Lost and Damned), but the photograph is substituted with one depicting what seems to be Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World. Does anyone know what this one in the Stallion is of?

 

Finally, I have the Special Edition of GTA IV that came with all the goodies. In the art book that was included there is a page that has a very nice pic of 3 of the muscle cars; the Dukes, Sabre GT, and Stallion. Does anyone have a Hi Res image of this pic? It would make an awesome poster.

In short, no. Rockstar is done with GTA IV, unfortunalty.

Though I would of loved to see some new clothes or whatever, it's not gonna happen...but we did get two epic DLCs which should, combine with the original game, give you a worthwhile experience during your stay at Liberty City.

 

And after doing some searching, I could not find the picture you asked for in Hi-Res. Though, you can always scan it or bring it somewhere and they can blow it up for you

I was worried that they were and hoping that they would keep up with a few more add-ons. It's seems they are now done with GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption now and will focus on L.A. Noire. Too bad for GTA IV. Was wishful thinking it seems.

He bought them, I guess. If you look at the list of topics in the IV board, I recently posted a link to Play.com who still sell the Special Edition (PS3 only, though, and it's £70 so not cheap).

 

Back onto DLC;

I'd like to see another DLC pack, but since the latest repackaging has been named "Complete", I doubt we'll see any. I'd rather they did the next game, though, as Liberty City is getting a little boring - Or, should I say, large areas of the game are used "too much".

 

If we're not getting another DLC release, I'd at least like to see another patch. Hopefully it'd fix a few bugs and issues but, in my opinion, it needs to reduce the amount of $ between each rank. It's a pretty daunting task and combined with the lack of ranked matches and so forth it's going to take a long while to get to just the next rank (I think I'm rank 2, could be wrong), and if they reduce it then it might entice people to return to rank up, in turn that would "revive" the multiplayer aspect.
