ImLostAndDamned
Hey guys. So, i was playing the mission "Sexy Time", and no, its not about taking out those fleeing dealers. So, when i need to fly to the helipad, how the hell do i brake then? (I'm on the PC) is it just by pressing S or what? - ImLost Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/461529-sexy-time-landing-the-chopper/ Share on other sites
Narcis_speed6
The command to lean back slows the chopper down. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/461529-sexy-time-landing-the-chopper/#findComment-1060172076 Share on other sites
XTREME0235
W = Accelerate Upwards. S = Accelerate Downwards. A = Pitch Left. D = Pitch Right. Generally, some people would use the mouse as the turn nose left, right, back and forward motion. But if you don't use the mouse, here they are for keys. NUMPAD 8 = Pitch Forward. NUMPAD 2 = Pitch Backwards. NUMPAD 4 = Turn Nose Of Helicopter Left. NUMPAD 6 = Turn Nose Of Helicopter Right. I on the other can't stand W,A,S,D & the NUMPAD keys, so i use the Games For Windows LIVE Xbox 360 controller. Hope this helps, XTREME0235. d00d
As someone who has no problem flying helis, seeing posts like these make me facepalm and worried at the same time. When driving a heli, the accelerate/brake controls are relative to the ROTOR speed - if you just slow it down, it'll stall and fall. If you're moving forward too fast, the best thing to do is to pitch it backwards and "accelerate" a little at the same time (on PC, I think its NUMPAD 2 to pitch back and W to "accelerate"). This tilts the heli back, and powers the rotor to actually push the heli in this direction. Remember, to go in a direction the rotor has to be facing that direction and it has to have power applied.
