ionGeneral
Hey guys. I tried to play GTA IV like 20 minutes ago, got on fine, I had to start from "The Cousins Bellic". After I got outside the safehouse (after being in there) it shows the food stands etc then crashes as soon as I am able to actually "move". I have the latest updates and hardware drivers too. My Specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 4.48GHz RAM: 4GB (DDR3) Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce (NVIDIA) GTX 470 4GB OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit If anyone can help me, I'd be much appreciative. Thanks. tramposh
Hello There, I have also been having the same problem when launching the game just before getting to the Rockstar logo I have also had a couple of crashes in game. I called up Rockstar to try and get this issue fixed however after 6 phone calls they are still unable to fix it. Rockstar now officially suck.... They release a patch with only a FEW bug fixes, and leave the rest for another update. I don't even know if they will be releasing 1.0.7.1....they are f*cked up imo. tramposh
Once I get both my PC's up and running I will call them back and see if there is a Fix working yet. It has been about 4 months since this problem has started. I don't know if alot of you other members are having the same problem? I bet it's unfixable...IMO If Rockstar can't develop a good working patch (without crashes/freezes) then they are complete retards...this is stupid. Before I had to reformat my hard disks I never had this issue...only when I had to re-install the 1.0.7.0 patch... Plus I have VisualIV, Realistic Handling & Flying, Realistic Weapon stats, and Simple Native Trainer, but I've removed all of these and still the problem persists. So it's not my modding... Garfield 2
On Patch 1.0.6.0 / 1.0.7.0 if you get problems with game crashing at Rockstar logos, start it up in Safe Mode. That worked for me. Then just pass a mission and it should be fine later on. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/461496-gta-iv-pc-crash-1070/#findComment-1060171909 Share on other sites

And I've used 64-bit for a while and IV had no problems... Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/461496-gta-iv-pc-crash-1070/#findComment-1060172266 Share on other sites
