Mati
There you go, you made Cidamelo talk about Claude Speed again. This is my new goal.
cidamelo
WF the Hobgoblin thank you, I'm very sad mati1501 when people say I talk about Claude too much, it isn't my fault, you make me talk about him
The Lolwut Pear
GTA does not deserve to be banned. There are worse games like L4D. Say what?! Left 4 Dead is not a "bad game", it only has a bit of blood, Left 4 Dead 2 is gorier, but it's still not graphically violent up to the point of it being disturbing. Like Germany banned Alien vs Predator cause its too hard. And GTA is not THAT brutal. And if you ask me, L4D is pretty brutal and would be banned before GTA. That does not matter anyways, GTA was banned because one song. R* should better check the copyrights next time. AlexGTAGamer
They want to ban EFLC in the whole world just because of copyright issues with ONE song?! How stupid is that! Do they not know that GTA is probably one of the worlds most popular games? Do you have any friends who own EFLC? If so you can ask them for the game or you can go to another country to buy it. U.S.A maybe?

Magic_Al
The game won't stay banned. If Rockstar didn't get any notice of this lawsuit and had no opportunity to defend itself, the ban will not be enforced by judges in the U.S. and other countries because there was no due process. If the ban is enforced, Rockstar can do several things. It can appeal and get a stay on the court order. It can settle with the plaintiff and get the case dismissed after paying up. It can reissue the game without the song. It'll be interesting to see if the October 26 release of GTA IV & EFLC: The Complete Edition is delayed because of this. If the supply of EFLC discs is running out and GTA IV: Complete replaces them, it's the best time to make a change in game content. Rockstar could decide to ship GTA IV: Complete without the song just to avoid it being an issue. If Rockstar knew about the lawsuit when it started, they may have planned GTA IV: Complete to not have the song all along.
Barry Spock
Interesting. I'm not very good at connecting names of songs with the sound, but I do know there is one that I always hear in Maisonette9 when Luis is working that has a kid singing... thought it was in French. I thought Brazil was really progressive with issues like this. I remember seeing a doco that said the law there encouraged digital sampling of music. Anyway, bummer. I know what it's like when you've got the money for something but international restrictions mean you can't get it legally. iTunes still won't sell me music here. When that happens I just D/L it. I say D/l it now and if you go for a holiday later, buy it then.

Dominico
Why stupid gay people find every cool video game offensive and they try to ban it? Why every time a game involving shooting and stealing is banned but stupid reality shows or retarded movies never get at least an warn. It's not like I play GTA and go outside stealing cars and shoot people.
OGIamLoco
1. Go to the bank get your own credit card. 2. Tell'm to set a very low limit. and use it only for internet. 3. Buy game. 4. Kick husband in the nuts. Problem solved.

It's not like I play GTA and go outside stealing cars and shoot people. Because cool games make a lot of money, and those people usually arent receiving the money. So why not make a lawsuit, earn some $$ from R* AND harm their income while at it? Oh and earn some fame.
Dominico
Yeah, I guess you're right. While I'm working my ass off for some broke ass salary, some fa**ot sues Rockstar for some "offensive material" that hurt his faggy feelings and he/she gets like 1 million dollars just like that, because they can. What's up with that? I will quit my job and start lawsuits on everyone.
cidamelo
Friends, GTA Complete Edition will be released for PC? Maybe I'll buy it! If it isn't banned . I remember some months ago, I was going to buy EFLC, but a salesman said it was getting banned, that's why it was so hard to find, and I didn't believe him!!! He was saying the truth
Magic_Al
There's not much evidence of a PC version of GTA IV: Complete, which makes sense because the PC versions of GTA IV and EFLC haven't been out as long as the console versions. There SHOULDN'T be a PC version at the same time as the consoles.
cidamelo
Magic_Al this is horrible I guess they have prejudice with PCs, why they never launch games for pc first??

cidamelo
lol232 I don't know about laws to much, but I think it's ridiculous a country tell other country what to do! Magic_Al
There's an international treaty, the Berne Convention, that require all signatory countries to recognize each others' copyrights. That does NOT mean a judge can give orders to the whole world. The treaty obligates other countries to agree who owns the song, but each country has sovereignty to decide if infringement has occurred in its jurisdiction and what enforcement action to take. A Brazilian judge can give orders in his district in Brazil. Lawyers for the composer (the singing boy's father) would have to file a case in the U.S. and get an American judge to tell U.S.-based Take-Two Interactive what to do. If the Brazilian judge thinks the Berne Convention gives his court orders universal jurisdiction, I think he's wrong.

JGJONES
Don't worry, you will be able to buy it in London when you visit, GTA is a British game so you'll be able to easily find it over here. Also, you don't need to worry about it being banned in the whole world, it won't be. Rockstar could easily remove the song by releasing a patch.
