What I hate about Haitins is that when you drive anywhere near their turf, they start attacking, whereas

They are annoying but not leathal

Unlike in GTA3 where the gangs there really come after you when you are on their turf as you progress through the story.

I hated the Haitians....with a vengeance. Each time I attempted to do a mission or a side mission (taxi, ambulance, fire engine) they'd drag me out of the vehicle and I'd fail. Then I'd realised it was all my fault. I did the Madame Poulet missions before the R3 and Taxi missions, after which they become a real pain in the @r$e. So, at that point they had me acting like a chronic Toutette's sufferer each time they messed up my missions.

If I'd left the Poulet missions until a lot later in the game, they'd have been merely annoying than turning me into a homicidally frustrated Tourette's maniac.

You could have just done all those missions on Vice Beach with ease, even after having completed Auntie Poulet's missions!

I hate how they always pop my tires 100% of the time passing through Little Haiti, them suckas can shoot.

Never happened to me. No, really.

The one occasion when they did pop my tires was when I was picking up Taxi fares in the heart of Little Haiti.

It's nothing like the death trap Portland becomes in GTA3, especially St. Marks.

Exactly! The Mafia with Shotguns, which blow up your car in 2-3 shots, and Diablos with their bats, which knock you down on approach, really made a trouble if I came back there.

Luckily enough, I was wise to do everything there before that hell broke out.

Going through St. Marks in Grand Theft Auto III was a bitch once you completed a considerable amount of the story tounge.gif -- Not to mention that there wasn't normally one mafia gang member with a shot-gun, there where often multiple gang members which made things even more dangerous.

The Haitians aren't really that bad as they only carry handguns with them on the streets (outside of missions, anotherwords) but they where annoying if they got in your way for some reason, say; during a side-mission for example.

Yeah, I have to agree with Mainland and Spuds...Haitians aren't that lethal...if they come after you as a gang of 5 or more, kill the group leader and they end up running away like scared little bitches. The group leader is mostly infront of the group shooting you, so if you kill him the group will evacuate the area.

Played the game again recently. This time I kept the final Robina mission just until before the "Keep Your Friends Close" final mission which was the only one left (at that point I was at 98%), so I managed to get through the whole game without any Haitian bother at all.

Took me nearly four months to finish the game 100% the first time I played it. Completed it in less than a week this time around.
