Who are some good horses to bet on at Inside Track? And what are some good strategies?

 

Cuz it seems like everytime I bet on the favorite, the favorite never wins but the middle of the pack horse wins. I won $50,000 on Donner's Kebab at 5/1 odds. And I also won $90,000 with Uphill Gardener at 9/1 odds. I also won $70,000 betting on That's Bollocks at 7/1 odds. My stake was $10,000 each bet. I've stopped betting on the favorites because the computer cheats whenever I bet on the favorite horse. But when I dont bet on the favorite, the favorite smokes the other horses. I'll bet at 5/1 odds and up, and never bet any less than $10,000 because when your longshot horse does win, that's a huge payment.

I read in a magazine review, years ago, that if CJ has maxed out the stamina rating you can use the sprint button to assist the horse you have bet on to 'sprint' a little.

I have never heard of this trick before. Does it actually work?

I don't think it's true maybe the guy was just lucky because I do that all the time and it does not work.

It was in the GameStop magazine as a review at the time of the game release along with other tips and a list of early release cheats.

You cannot use it continuesly while the horse is running, but it seemed to work for a bit during each race. After I started killing dealers I found it unprofitable to waste time in the OTB.
