Freefall is the hardest mission in the game.

Recommended Posts

Hi friends, I'm playing San Andreas again and I have forgotten how much hard was the mission "Freefall". I can only pass it when I'm lucky. Today I'm not, I tried a hundred times it and I CAN'T PASS IT! cry.gif Why do we have to fly a Dodo?? angry.gif For me, this is the hardest mission in the game, in PC Version. In Playstation, I think the hardest missions are Zero missions. And I have a question: the airstrip missions given by Mike Toreno are necessary to complete the storyline? Thank you rahkstar2.gif

Yes Verdant Meadows missions Must ALL be done. The School and the missions that follow from there.

To do "Freefall" fly slightly off center North above the target plane. (the radar marker should point down).

When the target plane enters the game turn toward it.

Since you are above it you can dive into the circle.

Hi lil weasel, what missions are not necessary to complete the storyline? I know that Zero missions and Cesar Vialpando's San Fierro missions are not necessary, but there's another mission which isn't necessary? This part of Freefall I can do, but I only mess up when I'm very close to the corona, I always lose the control of the airplane! angry.gif

Yahooo I passed the mission finally!! But can you believe I almost died when I landed the airplain? I hit the airplane in the airport's wall, and it started to catch fire. Thankfully I got out of the airplane before it explodes.

No, the hardest mission in the game is Zero's "CJ, take my prototype plane and use it to fly all around San Fierro killing my arch-nemesis' mail couriers." After many attempts I finally do just that. "Oh, wait. I just remembered you need to get my prototype plane back to my store to get it REFUELED before you run out of fuel." Oops, I ran out of fuel... 3 F***ING FEET FROM THE STORE!!! FUUUUUUUUU!!!

And yes, if you want to complete the story you'll need to complete Mike Toreno's missions. Another string of missions you don't have to complete are the ones centered around robbing a casino in Las Venturas and thus driving Salvatore out of San Andreas.

WhistleBlower thank you alien.gif I agree in parts, Zero missions are the hardest in PS2 version, but in PC Freefall is the hardest.

lil weasel I was reading those topics, and I don't understand how people can think Photo Oportunity is hard. This mission is so easy notify.gifnotify.gif I think it's because people drive fast and the car flips over, but I drive slow so I don't have problem. The ambulance missions were very hard in GTA III, but in the other GTA's it was easy. Jizzy is funny but it's hard and long, I don't like to drive by, thankfully in GTA IV drive-by is way easier and funnier. Lure is kind hard, I almost lose it, it's hard to drive that Rancher. NGR-500 challenge is very haaaard I could only pass it through the 00:00 time trick. The flight school is hard, but it's fun, I like it. Wrong Side of tracks is a little hard, N.O.E. is a little hard too, but it's fun (I like to fly, even though I'm horrible flying, I can only fly in first person view).555 We Tip is very easy, Just Business is not that hard and it's very fun, one of my favorite missions, Chilliad Challenge is VERY HARD, I could only pass it killing the oponents, Vigilante missions I can only do with the Rhino, Stowaway is easy and fun,Snail Trail is kind nonsense, because the bar fills up too fast without reason, when we are in the subway, Life Is A Beach is very easy, Don Peyote is fun and easy, I love to drive through the desert, Monster is easy, 8-Track is a little hard, Blood Ring is just a question of luck, End Of The Line is hard, Black Project is easy and fun, Misappropriation is easy but you don't have to drive through Area 69, the first mission is a little hard sigh.gif I HATE ANY MISSION WITH RC TOYS, thankfully they don't exist in GTA IV, Green Goo is medium hard, Key To Her Heart is easy and funny, Catalina's missions were fun, High Stakes, Low Rider, was kind of hard because low riders are pretty but they have a bad handling, Breaking the Bank at Caligula's is not that hard and it's fun. A comment on the "Lure". Stop the SUV to allow the motorcycles to pull along side. Then Blast them using the Drive-By technique. Drive on and when the next pair come along repeat that. Stop. Let them pull along side and Blast them. I had almost no damage to the SUV when I completed it. If you try to out run them the motors will shoot the hell out of the SUV's rear.

Apparently the bike riders can't shoot very well when on the side of the SUV. Sometimes it pays to wait rather than run.

miromiro I already passed the mission, yahooo! alien.gif I was playing Vertical Bird, it is kind of hard too, it's hard to drive the Hydra. But I destroyed the other airplanes, so only one chased me.

lil weasel this is a good tip! I never thought about that, I thought that if the motorcycles pulled along side, they would discover CJ and I could fail the mission.

lil weasel I did everything in GTA San Andreas unless a trucking mission which you have to take highly illegal goods to Las Venturas, it's so hard, do you have any tips for this mission sad.gif ?

I would suggest you check the map and compare it to where you need to go, and route out the best route to take. Stay on the right side of the road, but also stay far on the right side (so you're almost off the road) unless something comes up such as a small wall or signpost. That'll stop most of the police coming from the opposite direction turning in to you.

As said check the map for the route to the destination, But, Try to drive on the Railroad tracks. Using the tunnels to keep the cops off your back for a lot of the time. Remember, the destinations are random. So if you fail going to one the next may be better.

lil weasel I think the railroad trick doesn't works there, because the illegal goods are highly inflamable sad.gif

miromiro it's hard to get away from them cry.gif

Omini I'll try thank you!! cookie.gif
