Armoured van glitch TMW

Hey troops.

 

Anyone else in the opinion that retaining the armoured van glitch in TMW should be patched? We had a good game going last night (disallow... first one for a while) then we got the armoured van mission and both vans were retained. The teams were as even as they get on the lobbies and I thought it was a bit uncalled for.My team was in 3rd at the time 1 or 2 K behind and it was one of those games were you dont have time to think such is the quality of the opposition.(Love these games win or lose its just non stop action you only get in disallow). I put out a one time kick to both teams just to let folk know I was unhappy there was no spam kicking,kick reply or abusive reply so I think they know that I wasent kicking out of frustration or trying to cheat.I also had brief discussion with both opponents about it.Just like to get some thoughts from the forum guys.

 

Should it be allowed or not? Do you think it is cheating or tactical advantage?. Dont get me wrong im not here to claim innocence. In the past Ive not been squeeky clean when it came to keeping the van but in a match with even teams and all good players I thought it was wrong. Any thoughts?

 

It is not my intention to put ideas into people heads but if your a regular TMW player you will know what im talking about.

Although I don't know much of this glitch.

It's simple really.

There's two ways of looking at it.

 

1) Glitching to gain an unfair advantage is cheating IMO.

 

2) It's possible for eveybody to do the glitch so all is fair in love, war, and video games.

 

I personally like to play legit.

I'd rather achieve the win using skill rather then a glitch or cheat of some sort.

You can only gain the van by using a glitch.To me this means we are not meant to have it during multiplayer.There is another mission type where you have to kill a guy thats being transfered in a armoured prison van(blue). This van usually remains after you have delt with occupants and is not gained by glitch.Usually this van is destroyed in the process.The other one is a delivery mission (green) and anyone can glitch it if they now how to do it and get to the van first. I suppose its a personal opinion but in the the match in question it was a very even very well contested match up to that point.I just thought it killed the fun.I mean having a bullet proof vehicle is huge advantage in a disallow match with standard weapons. The guys in the game were all good players I didint expect this to happen.Sometimes people just hold on to the van rather than deliver it which causes the game to stall until its delivered or the game automaticly spawns the next mision which can take a good while.It basically turns the game into a death match with bullet proof vans while everyone else is fleeing out of range of these mobile death machines.Obviously if rockets are on it less of a problem but I prefer standard weapons because its more of a challenge and more realistic.I see the powerfull weapons as millitary grade weapons which street thugs would have no access to. I use to do the 2nd one all the time (alot easier to pull off) but once i really figured how to do the Seciurcor glitch, I found it pretty pathetic and only done it if the other one had been done. Yeah I think it should be patched, but then again, I loved using it to get the rare cars you never see online

 

I totally know what your saying man, I'v been in a fair few games that turns to sh*te cause someone does it. Grenades and RPG or just shoot like f*ck at the back wheel arch (think the wheel arch trick works against them, not sure though. Ain't played in forever! )

How do you induce the armored car glitch?

 

IMO, even if you can find an armored car/NOOSE van, and if anyone can get access to it, I say why not look for it? Both teams can use the armored car. Besides TMW isn't just about killing the other team in order to complete your own mission; you can just as easily let the other team complete the objective.

Does this glitch happen to be the one where you shoot the driver through the back window? If that's the one, then it shouldn't be patched for those who want to beat BDB II in time. The one thing I can suggest though is that the van's gas tank is armored, and that means you'll do more damage when shooting it in the front instead of the back by the wheels. It will still take nearly four AK-47 or M4 magazines to start the van on fire though.

Don't think you relize what it turns out to be like..

 

Say you have 2 teams of 8, and its the 1 team that manages to do the 'glitch' with the mission with 2 sercuricars.. thats 2 heavily armoured vehicles, with all 8 people in both of them.

Now say they have a package (or 8..) how do you get it back off them? very hard, especially with people thats good with drive bys.. So people can gain thousands extra by using this glitch..

 

And its not like its a spawn point (like the helis..) Its a mission vehicle that when you drop off, should be locked but theres a way how to unlock it..

 

Now think 50k game with a full room. sh*t can go bad quick.

that really was a good game Madmonk. i find the best games require atleast 3 worthy teams.

to be honest i have no idea about how to do the armoured van glitch. In all honesty i find the armoured van to be impractical. especially when you come across high quality players. the game becomes too fast for that slow van to be of any use.

i dont like people on my team using it for unsporting reasons such as killing people cheaply. Especially when practically all the best TMW disallow players are on my friends list and i get griefed

kaiser its alot simpler than what you think to do it..

 

Driving to drop it off. Theres an arrow on the screen directing you where to park. Drive up so its disappeared but then back up just a little bit so the arrow reappears. Jump out and presto. Completed mission with the vehicle accessible.

 

Yeah forgot about that.. spawn camping with the friggin thing. At least with the Infernus it blew up fairly fast. From what I remember the big thing was a beast to eventually blow up.

 

Aye you can shoot out the tyres Legacy, although its a slow vehicle so it doesn't make much difference, plus a quick health touch repairs that. T'is difficult going against skilled folk that know what their doing, especially when at least 2 or 3 are in it..

If you make the person in the Securicar crash, then you may also be able to hijack them. That would be funny to do.

Well ive actually managed to hijack it once or twice but any disallow player worth his salt will have you out of there before your anywhere near the door to pull them out. Its a decent enough achievement if you manage it because its very diffficult to do that.You need someone else in a vehicle to stop the van then another guy to chase around on foot trying to get to the front doors all the while trying do dodge bullets and the van itself.Its a game stopper and a half if you ask me. More so if that mission spawns early in the game.

ha ha yeah done that a few times to the AA geeks that always had to use the Ambulance etc to get a 1 up on you. f*cking hilarious when you pull it off, although MadMonk is defo right. Thats me just remembering what happens score wise. Lost a fair few games cause the scum had to resort to that cheap tactic and their score goes flying up

thanks thebruceter. although i wont be using the armoured van anytime soon. mostly because games are so very rare these days. the enjoyable ones at least (ahem! disallow).
