Me, too... i'll be showing my progress on the "carnival" in ghost town.

any way, you are converting cars right, then, here are some tips:

Recommended for those who know what there doing

 

Requirements

1. 3DS Max 7

2. Kams Script

3. TXD workshop

3. GTA 3 Vehicle Files

4. GTA SA Vehicle Files

 

Steps

1. - DFF Converting

I will be converting the Cheetah as its best to pick cars the are same size with the wheels

Open 3DS Max 7 and go to Kams Script import DFF and inport both the gta 3 dff and the San Andreas DFF then press 'H' and go through the list until you see 'wheel_rf_dummy' with another file below it but to the left called 'wheels' highlight all the files from 'wheel_lb_dummy' to 'wheels' press select and the press the 'delete' key and the 'h' again and select all of the GTA 3 car files except these 'wheel_lb_dummy wheel_lf_dummy wheel_rb_dummy wheel_rf_dummy' and then click select and the press 'delete' key and then 'h' again and highlight 'wheel_lb_dummy wheel_lf_dummy wheel_rb_dummy wheel_rf_dummy' those files and click select then go to the 'unlink' button in the corner and click it followed by the 'link' button then press 'h' and highlight the top file which should be the name of your car for me its 'cheetah' and click the button called link then when the window closes straight away click on the mouse button and press 'h' and scroll down and if 'wheel_lb_dummy wheel_lf_dummy wheel_rb_dummy wheel_rf_dummy' are in line with the files above then click cancel select Kams script again and highlight the whole car then change to 'GTA3' export mode and click 'export DFF' save the file and close 3ds max

 

2. - TXD preparation

go to the San Andreas directory then 'models/generic' and copy the file called vehicles.TXD and rename it to anything then open the GTA Sa car TXD and export all the textures to TGA format then open the Vehicles.TXD copy that you made and click 'IMAGE' then 'New' and select a 32 Bit image and then import one of the just exported images click on it then highlight and copy the name and then click import and then go the properties for that picture and change the name from '32 bit image' to what ever the file was called repeat for each exported image when you are done click in the corner where it says 'SAn Andreas' and change it to 'GTA 3' then click file Save As call it the cars name you want to replace

 

3. - Installation

replace the car files for the car you want to replace and done the car should be converted from SA to 3 play the game and go for a drive

 

The above tutorial is for converting sa cars for gtaIII

When I try to add the park/carnival thingy.. my game crashes, most probably, cuz of the ide/ipl limit of gta3

What was my idea?

I wouldn't say to use GMAX instead of 3DS Max, 3ds is so much better.

The only reason to use GMAX is if your not rich or pirate.

 

And don't think i hate you for no reason, you steal people work all the time.

I've kept telling you to make your own 3d stuff but you just keep taking other peoples stuff and using it.

 

Luqman your mod looks good as a texture pack but thats about all it is, making more comples stuff like 3d mapping or mission scripting and youd get more attention than just textures would.

 

Also half the people who are interested in this mod are probably to lazy to post.

Yes i know how to use limit adjuster.just send me the link. I will currently work on the islands.and frank what do u mean by taking other peoples work & compiling them? U had told me if i couldn't get 3DS MAX then use gmax and i am taking 3d tutorials and did i steal someone's work?

TBH your IPL mapping isn't very realistic and who is interested in ipl-only mods nowadays? They were popular years ago.

 

I dont mean to sound like a dick im just stating what i think and have proof to be true.

i didn't include it in my mod, didn't i, and i learned my lesson, that time, now i know.
