Explosion lag

Something that is quite annoying and ive always wonderd: When you are using the explosive sniper, annihilator, N.O.O.S.E tank ect, why is there a lag on the explosion impacts in multiplayer but not on normal bullets, machine gun ect? They seem to register instantly. Sometimes this can make the annihilator next to useless when going up against the buzzard.

This happens because the bullet doesn't explode on impact, it hits the target and then later blows up.

If you go to a private room and try using explosive weapons you'll notice that the bullet will explode as soon as it hits, because there is no lag.

What? O.o you must really lag

I don't lag at all. Plus I got 50mb wired... it must be other players fault.

 

edit.: I was refering specially to the explosive shotgun. It's the weapon that lags the most.

edit.: I was refering specially to the explosive shotgun. It's the weapon that lags the most.

In my experience they all seem to lag about the same: sniper, tank, shotgun, annihilator all have about a half a second lag between the bullet hole apearing and the explosion happening, on a bad day perhaps a second, but I do have a good wired connection. The only time its perfect is when im hosting. The sniper is still good on a moving target like the heli's because the bullets still cause high damage without explosion, and if its a head shot they die.

The Annihlator's minigun does not lag. It simply restocks itself with bullets. I am not sure why the Buzzard doesn't restock its minigun turret or its rocket launcher. But, whenever a weapon like the explosive gun turret on the APC Tank "lags", it's only restocking its ammunition. The only thing like I said that confuses me is why Rockstar made the Buzzard with infinite ammo. But Rockstar does lots of bizarre things that are out of the norm.

They're talking about the explosions lagging. This means that somebody shoots another person with an explosive weapon, but the explosion doesn't appear until a second or so after the impact of the bullet or projectile.

 

Anyways, bullets do lag I believe. Is it bullet lag that causes so many double kills (when both people shooting at each other die)?
