If there was never a GTA IV, would you still have a PS3 or Xbox 360?

 

I probably wouldn't, but if I did I wouldn't have bought it in 2007.

The only time I've bought a console/handheld for a GTA was a DS for CTW.

 

If there was no GTA IV I still would've bought a PS3, and 360 as I didn't buy either for that reason.

Had IV been ps3 exclusive, i would have bought my ps3 a lot sooner. I already had a 360 when it came out so i bought IV for that.

 

I have been considering buying a psp just for CW and MGS Peace Walker.

But if you're talking consoles/hardware, I probably wouldn't have placed a better graphics card, or gotten Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, or any of the good graphical games today.

I got a PSP just so I could play chinatown wars, but actually I can't get into the top-down angle.

 

I was wondering how many people who like GTA4 have tried CTW?

And the version of Vice City that is available for PSP - is it the same as the GTA3 generation one?

^^^^I've tried CTW on my nephew's DS. It's cool, but it was a little hard to get used to that angle at first. And, yes, VCS is the same Vice City as in the III era, only it's set two years before the original VC and there are some changes to the city.

 

Also, I would still have my 360, even if there was no GTA IV (there are still other great games out there, as well!).

Yes I would still have my PS3 console if there was no GTA IV. GTA IV was a big reason why I bought my PS3 in March 2008 though.

I'd still have my PS3 if there was no IV. The reason why I brought my PS3 was because the PS2 was aging and it was time to move on.

If there was no Grand Theft Auto IV, I wouldn't have upgraded my PC in August, 2009. And it would've been boring for me.

I'd still have my PS3 because of MGS4 and my 360 because of Dead Rising.

I bought the 360 specifically for GTA IV, though I played Bully: Scholarship Edition first while waiting for GTA IV to come out. I know PCs are better but I'm not willing to spend what it would take to play with settings maxed out, which I'd want because I don't like messing around trying to find the best graphics settings. I'll spend time color-calibrating my TV, but that's it!

Well, I got my X360 because of Red Dead Redemption, but I also immediately got GTA IV, so yeh.
