but that may have been from lzw attempting to close the finn attempt. I'll investigate this

the first omenofficial quote did not have an equals sign, I fixed that first, no luck but there was 7 opening quotes and 8 closing (I copied lzw, who quoted finn, but not the original part from finn so that is due to my selective copying) so maybe that was it. meaning the quote html command was not complete or something cos the command read

I hate kids, that's not to say I wouldn't like them at some point in the future. I'd love my own kids, but I just hate other people's mainly because I just suck with them. We used to have to pile into this hall and sit on the freezing cold, rock hard floor. Unless you were in year 6, then you sat on the benches at the back of the room like some sort of overseer, looking down on the younglings. We were only a small school, but we still couldn't afford chairs for everyone, or rather we could but the twisted headmaster preferred the kids to suffer. It was the same hall where we had lunch, and occasionally the cleaners wouldn't do a very thorough job, so you'd be sat in yesterdays rice pudding that some kid had dropped because he hadn't learnt how to use a spoon properly.

 

I only came to my school in year 3, and the act of singing hymns was foreign to me, having lived in Amsterdam where we didn't do that in my old school. We also used to pray and do a load of Christian things even though it wasn't a religious school. Again it was all new for me. I didn't know what Amen was or what it meant having never heard it before. In fact for the first couple of weeks I honestly thought everybody was saying "Ahmed" because we had a kid in my class with that name.

 

I remember quite a few songs. Little donkey, we three kings, away in a manger, hark the herald angels sing. We three kings was my favourite. The teacher that used to lead us in our singing took her work quite seriously and could get pretty belligerent if we didn't perform to a high enough standard. She was f*cking mental. Had an incredibly high pitched voice and used to love showing off by hitting those high notes. Mrs. Mayo was her name. Truly frightening woman.
