I don't know what tools to use for modding

I just bought GTA IV a few days ago and now I want to start modding, but unlike in GTA san andreas I don't know what tools I have to use for installing mods like new cars, bikes, guns and script mods like cleo mods in san andreas.

 

I'd appreciate it if someone would help me with this.

Here's a tutorial telling you how to install vehicles. The same method can be used to replace weapons/characters/textures.

OK thanks for that, but I have another question, if I want to install script mods like the cleo mods in GTA san andreas, how am I supposed to do that, with wich tools?

To install scripts you'll need:

Script Hook

ASI Loader

 

Then follow the instuctions included with the mod.

OK ccol thanks but another question I have version 1.0.7.0 and the script hook link for that version doesn't work.

o yeah one more thing, I have to have a patch to unlock modding or something right?, wel I tried one but GTA IV wouldn't start up after patching, maybe I used the wrong patch, so I hoped maybe someone can give me a link to a good one
