Why can't i play on my TV?

I have played a lot on my computer monitor. But i like big, so i plug my computer into my tv, using the same connection cord as the monitor, and all i get is black. no windows, warnings, fuzzies...just black. i plug in my monitor and it works fine...

 

 

how can i use my tv?

You need the correct 'Driver'for the TV to accept the signal.

Review the Owners manual of the TV and the Specifications for the Video Card of the computer.

Usually a special video card is required.

I bought a new video card so that i can have TV out. all computer functions work fine, including other games. just not this one.

 

any idea how i can find what driver it might be? I am really not very knowedgable about this stuff....getting my tv to work in my computer took me 2 years and about $700 lol.

running XP home service pack 2

512 mb ram

AMD athlon XP, 2079 mhz (6.25 x333) 2600+

Having the special card for the output to TV should install the drivers automaticly.

Click on the Card's program and see what 'help' you can get there.

Check out the Operating Systems Control Panel too.

I too have a special card that allows two monitors, or one monitor and TV. I tried the tV and didn't like the picture. Got myself another larger Monitor, it's super having both.

GOOGLE your TV model, you might be able to get the user manual on line.
