Adler Posted September 25, 2010 Share Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) Hi I'm almost finished converting a plane to SA but the only thing left that's bothering me is that the cockpit doesn't open like the hydra does (it opens to the opposite side of how the hydra opens up since CJ is pulling open the door). Is there any way to make it open like the hydra does? Moving pivots, dummies etc? Thanks. EDIT Cockpit should be canopy sorry. It was around 1 AM when I posted this lol. Adler Posted September 25, 2010 Author Share Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) Yeah I did that but it still opens to the right (like the shamal does) and it looks weird since the canopy goes through the cockpit and chassis so I want it to open to the left (like the hydra). I'm talking from the front view of the plane btw. EDIT Can anybody help? Automan's F-117 Night Hawk had a canopy that opened to the back of the plane so I know it's possible... If that doesn't work, try rotating in 90 or 180 degrees increments along other axes until you get the result that you want. Adler Posted September 28, 2010 Author Share Posted September 28, 2010 I think I tried that a little bit once but it didn't work the way I wanted (I think I'll try it again soon but I got some more problems). Right now I kinda messed up my model trying to UV map it since the game crashes when the Shamal spawns. Can somebody give me some step-by-step instructions on how to UV map my model? I found some tutorials and did the Unwrap UV, edited the UV map, etc. but I've been having trouble with some small things (like besides the crashes I can't put my bitmap onto the plane for some reason) so I'm not sure I'm doing it right.
